The regualr pad is hard as shit to get anything off. so what i've ended up doing ( normally after getting owned hard) I spin the stick around and jamming on 2 attacks button to get anything off.


On the fightpad ( outside of forgetting to map the launcher button therefore fucking over my x-factor), I faired slightly better but it still felt like I didn't know exactly what I was doing.

It's like I know the moves but have no clue how to do them on command. shit sucks but I'll keep at, this game doesn't have any charge characters for me to gravitate to so I'm gonna have to man up and get to work

Skrull can charge one of his attacks. Its the huge overhand right. Can't remember the name of it right now though
 
Playing on a Dualshock is killing me. I'm no good at fighters, but I'm having difficulties with quarter-circle forwards here.

Current team is Iron Man, Dante, Wesker, but I have no idea how to play as any of them and I'm at a 50% win rate online.

Heh, we must be twins. Also, Wolverine is the only reason why I am 3-0 online right now. I was getting my ass beat by an amateur, but he disconnected before the round was up.

Hah, swap out Dante for Dormammu and you have my current team. Yeah, I sure there are and will be people who are accustom to playing on the DS3 but this is the first fighter I felt like an arcade stick or alternative is needed, better yet, required (IMO). Outside of practice, I my performance is all over the place -- mostly due to how random my inputs seems at times. The D-pad is decent but Eh...

Wow. Iron Patriot looks awesome.

I fucking NEED a GotY edition with all costume/stage/character DLC so badly. I want it all, but don't want to pay whatever ungodly price they all are individually.

BB or FF (IMO) is one of the sloppiest stick motions in fighting games. You have to use two buttons to dash in this game. It's so much easier and consistent.

Yeah FF/BB felt so incredibly awkward to me for the longest time.
 
Got the game and a Mad Catz FightStick SE today!

I must say, for my first stick this feels really nice to use. The joystick is great and its got a weight that a controller can't compete with. I have to ask though, are the buttons supposed to have zero tactile feedback? They are a bit squishy for my liking.

And the game is awesome - probably the most fun i've had with a serious fighting game since Tekken 3. Love the intro shout: "MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3!!!!..... fate of two worlds..."

I'm playing on Simple mode and easy atm and I don't care.

Read the OP.

A mechanic new to MvC3 . X-Factor is activated by pressing all 4 attack buttons at once. When X-Factor is active, your point character regains "red life" at an extremely rapid rate, your character is substantially sped up, and both normal and "chip" damage are greatly increased. In addition, on activation, all of your cooldowns are reset (see XFC below). The potency and duration of X-Factor is dependent on the number of teammates you have remaining. If all 3 of your characters are alive, then you get a level 1 X-Factor. If you're down to your last character, you get a level 3 X-Factor which substantially increases all attributes of X Factor. YOU CAN ONLY USE IT ONCE PER ROUND!

I'd say the worst thing is no spectating in player matches. This still annoys me, as my friends and I always have fun watching each other play and we always laugh about stuff that happens. It's not really fun like that in this. =(

People aren't able to do this in SSF4 matches either...
 
It's gonna take sometime to get use this game after playing sf4 for almost 3 years. Everything is new to me, I have no idea what to do, but everything looks and feels great.

Same for me. But now ive just been making my own game with a Beginner only and 2 player limit. Usually doesnt take long for someone to join.
