Can't wait to play. Interested in Shulkie, but A Wesker/Viper team seems good too. Low+High Assist=Unblockable. Pretty sweet.

I played a few of the she-hulk missions and she can get real dirty with her running move. It was really tough to trigger the run + input in a combo though. There's no way I'd be able to execute those combos in an actual match at this stage.

I don't know how to wavedash in this game. I'm really bad at maneuvering with most characters.

Well as it seems you can hold two buttons and one direction and the character will dash by itself, no need to double tap.

Got this today and man is it fun! It looks great, the mechanics are good to learn, I'm just really enjoying myself. A little annoyed perhaps that when you complete the game you only see the ending for the person you finished it with and not the whole team, but meh.

Also, Iron Man's level 3 super is immense. You're practically invincible for the first second. I'll be abusing that!

damn is everyone getting the guide?!

i may have to check gs now to pick one up like most people here i am going to attempt to make an effor to learn and be decent at this game

not to mention i need to make use of my TE somehow lol

I haven't gotten any hatemail yet. Just GGs. On the one hand it's nice to play against OK people. On the other hatemail is pretty funny. I got so many great messages playing SF4.

I've yet to see more than two Sentinel players online though, which is odd considering how many I expected to see.
Yeah, judging by this thread you'd think he was one of the most popular characters but I've only seen a handful. He's stupid easy and he's bullshit with X-Factor but he's not the win button everyone's making him out to be.

I already never want to play a Deadpool/Dante/x team again though. So many!

Man this game is great, but the online features are fucking horrible. No quick rematch option? No damage scaling? Handicapping? Spectating? Seriously what the fuck, games going on the backburner til it's online can catch up to the past 4 years of fighters.

Yeah damage scaling seems of the wall, that needs to be patched! Don't dislike the combos, but a bit of scaling for good measure should be in there to make things a bit less arbitrary! Right now its like playing chess with only 3 pieces, sure its fun and fast but its over all too quick!

Well until they put in spectating I'm fine with quick matches.

is anyone else getting assists when they intended to switch out and subsequently died/ had two characters die? :|
I accidentally called out everyone for a triple hyper.

Cap stuffed everyone and crippled my team. My fury was the stuff of legends.

Man, yesterday I was getting games easy. Now Ranked does even work, and player matches is a hit or miss. And when you win, people leave. Bleh. I'm on 360 if anyone wants to play. GT: Low Parry.

Oh yeah, and my guide through Amazon was delayed till March 8th. :( :(

Man the second form of Galactus is fucking bullshit. How are you supposed to even beat that?

I'd hate to see the third form. First one isn't such an issue.

yea online's broken, got a few matches yesterday but today nothing works. I'll end up getting everyone's arcade ending before being able to get into a other online match

spam - die, spam - die, spam - x factor - win, really just spam, anything works

even on v.hard he's a joke

You saying he's easy?

Seriously?
Start super jumping and focus on avoiding attacks instead of trying to block everything. He's really not that bad at all...

I can't see any fighting game of 2011 topping this. I didn't think it was possible but I might like this one better than mvc2. So far my main team is Amaterasu / Dante / Sentinel.
Cable where art thou??

So I just won like 10 games in a row with level 3 x factor sentinel... and he took down all 3 of my opponents in every game.

im so shit at this game. but sentinel is meta knight.

Now I just played some beast... Ryu/Akuma/Chris. He took out my entire team with dhc's and air combos. I literally didn't know what hit me. HE KILLED MY DANTE WITH CHIP DAMAGE FROM 3 DHCS. I fuckin lold.

He was really tough for me at first, but he/she is right. I think as long as you get away from the initial fights, you aren't in much trouble against Galactus.

You can block most of his moves and super jump away from his hand clap move. The real problems are the supers that do chip damage and the super that auto-kills you. There isn't much you can do about the chip damage (I think) but if you damage him enough before is insta-kill super, he'll get stunned.

If you can manage to correctly retaliate to all his moves, there's a high chance you can beat him with only one person dying. Just x-factor if you have one person left and it'll do a ton of damage.

I'm a little surprised people are having an issue with Galactus. In my opinion, he is one of the easiest fighting game bosses in recent memory. I took him down on my second try.

Got a rage quit my very first ranked match. New record?
I'm getting pretty bored with rank, I want to get to the good players already so I can get better...

40-2 and one was from a super laggy match xD *other one I got raped by dp*

Is there or will there be a place that will detail the mission mode so that I wont have to go into a menu to find out what I need to do? AKA list out the button presses?

I think that people just don't block and don't know how to super jump consistently in that battle. You just have to stop attacking when you see him wind up for his next move.

lol arcade mode wins/loses show up on your license? That's pretty dumb.

Accounts that have Tournaments played on it will have ridiculously deceptive ratios lol.

I won my first game ^_^, Well one without a leaver. It puts me at 2 and 2. And let's just say, I won it big. PARTY TIME. Only last 1/3 of my Dante's HP.

I love Dante. I've been training with him in the training room. I can do his super jump, tele, and basic combos fairly well. I'm finally figuring out assists too and the specials.

still very very very early but

I'd say Wesker is the biggest potential "broken" character in the game right now. Played the Wesker user yesterday for a good set and man this char got options.
Phoenix is broken and the devs know it.

She still has too much health.

Yeah I haven't really ran into any super good players yet. I'm sitting on 18-3 and the 3 I lost were from lag fest matches. :[

have fighting game developers really not come up with a way to discourage the practice of rage-quitting? shit seems like it's been an issue since DOAU on the Xbox. quit to preserve teh rankz!

X-Factor? Galactus super flashes, you hit X-Factor and block? As far as I know, he only does that move once.

I thought he had like two or three supers.

I know there's one where he just gets like a huge orb of electricity on his hand and takes about 30 seconds to hit you. If you get hit from that, you die (unless this is the one you're talking about X-factoring). But you don't even need to X-factor to prepare for that. If you do enough damage to him, then it'll knock him out of the super.

Then there's the other one or two where he attacks quicker with just a shit ton of beams. The chip damage is pretty large but it won't kill you unless you're somewhat low on health. If that's what you're talking about, then it sounds like X-factor will work. I don't mind sacrificing some HP of someone I don't want to beat the game with in order to use X-factor with someone I do want to beat the game with later. :)

Damn man you really are gdlk. I need to play you again FT10. I promise I won't lose 10-0 again!!

After playing some of this today, Chun Li found herself a spot on my team. So its her, Spidey and third member I need to find.Dante for now.

Nah, I rank my self below average as far as tourney level goes at this game. It's still way too new to me, and I never got into super high level marvel before. *just watched*

Wesker in Xfactor hit my Phoenix twice yesterday and killed me

and im not exaggerating.

Phoenix is as "broken" as Seth(SF4), which is not.

I don't have the game yet, but but it's the beams everywhere hyper I'm thinking of. Of course, if you're going for a specific ending, and that character is still in reserve, then I can understand letting the planet eater win that one. Then unleash a level 3 X-Factor on him. I kind of want to see what level 3 X-Factor Dark Phoenix does to Galactus... I believe Phoenix is one of the few things that can beat Galactus straight in the comics.

Don't judge me please.

I'm one of those people that were generally never that good at fighting games, I would get mildly good but never outstanding. I tried to play Wolverine's mission modes last night, and maybe it was because of the xbox 360 controller, but some of these combos seemed impossible to use mid fight unless I performed them accidentally while button mashing.

Maybe I need to get my Arcade Stick out, but I was never that good at using those in the past. I was actually better at playing the SSFIV and Blaz Blue on the regular controller. Maybe I just need to get adjusted to it.

Also as someone who is more casual with fighting games, it's a big disappointment that there is hardly any unlockables in this game. I used to love playing through each character on fighting games to unlock more items.

Why do the endings suck so much too? They seem to get worse with each successive generation.

How do you hold an Arcade Stick? I use to hold the ball with my hand over it in a fist gripping it or holding it on the side clenched like I'm holding a stick. I see a lot Japanese arcade players holding an arcade stick with their palm underneath the stick with the stick between one of their fingers.

Normally you hold it from underneath, like a wine glass.
