USPS Delivery Confirmation isn't the same as UPS/Fedex style tracking. All it's going to tell you (and all it's designed to tell you) is that the package was shipped and that the package was delivered.

it also tells you when the package has arrived at your city's processing facility so you can usually tell when it will arrive.

This game, man. This fucking game.

Man, even when I was getting rocked by some dude's epic Hsien-Ko ( She was comboing my face off) and even when I brought in my assist to only get him and my point killed, I'm having fun, something that wasn't the case in SSFIV. Mind you I still have very little control over what I'm doing so I'm probably pissing someone off ( One dude had a mic and said that I'm pretty good.. I Lol'd) but outside of the two above matches I've been in most of them.

I'm sure that pisses off some of the top guys but I'm glad that even scrubs ( although I might be lower than that) are able to hang for a while. My friend is giving me a shitty stick so I'm going to see if that helps before investing in something nicer.

I also need to pick a good squad. I have Chun-Li for ever after she's pulled off some sick shit to save my ass. Viper and X-23 are also pretty helpful. I suck with Dante but he helped out. And Tron is pretty much there to take damage as I can't do shit outside of chuck rocks and spin. Spiderman got me a win but he takes damage like a bitch and doesn't dish out enough.

So for right now it's Chun-Li and.......derp derp derp. But I'll find it soon. School needs to fuck off tho.

btw why did so many of you buy the game at the capcom store? was there some special promotion?
I missed out on pre-ordering the SE from my local GameStop due to an error by the employee, and when I saw Capcom was throwing in a shirt and release day delivery (*cough* bullshit *cough*), it seemed like my best option. In all honesty it's not a huge deal that I don't have it yet. It's the fact that they said I would, and it's still not here two days after release. It's expectations versus what actually happened.

Yeah because they use Delivery Confirmation only( but I have seen local processing stuff on usps shipped packages with similar level of shipping). Still does not explain my out of order scanning. The package will most likely arrive sometime this week or beginning of next week. Sadly, there were a lot of other issues on their side of things:

1. Was told after calling item was going to get shipped last thursday.
2. Calling customer service was a hassle and they tried to tell me to call back after asking to talk to a supervisor. Homie don't play that. I had to force them to keep me on hold.
3. Supervisor promised to upgrade my package to overnight shipping for free. Also said if that was not possible they would call me on Monday and figure out something. That never happened and they ended up shipping it the slow way.

I am pretty sure digitalriver is the real problem here . They fulfill the orders.

Edit: does anyone know what size shirt they ship? I did not get a choice when I ordered.

You're stressing about nothing. Our of order scanning is common. USPS First Class Mail is not slow. Should be 2-3 days max. I got a game from another gaffer coast to coast the next day.

You got a new copy?
Yeah, had to go to a fucking Best Buy though. Couldn't use my billions of dollars worth of Gamestop credit :/

Gonna run some more games against this bastard's hellspawn Phoenix then I'll be online tonight.

I got it urlier than expected. Beautiful box and artwork. Absolutely love it. Haven't played much of the game but:
  • I am somehow EVEN worse at this game than I was at MvC2
  • It's definitely more TvC feeling than MvC2 feeling, and that isn't very good because I was absolutely atrocious at TvC
  • I continually try to play Wesker but I end up doing random teleports when I meant to do attacks or chain combos
  • Dante is the same, if you try to mash your way into it, you will be "punished" with the execution of a completely different move which is just an extension of the current move input + a button
  • The assumption that A > B > C > S > A > B > C doesn't play out very well in practive for every characters (i.e. Wesker), or am I just doing it wrong?
  • Oh my god how beautiful this game looks. I absolutely LOVE the art and LOVE the art style even more. It's freaking perfect, and feels like a unique juxtaposition of styles
  • Arcade mode is: easy match, easy match, easy match, easy match, easy match, one character will rape your ass while the other two are easy, heralds, Galactus
  • Arcade AI is kind of bad on normal. Most of the time is spent sitting and waiting, idle, and then all of a sudden combo into air combo into air exchange, like wtf?
  • Spencer seems really, really cool, don't know why people keep trying to underrate him
  • Overall I'm enjoying every second with the game, but MAAAAAN do I suck, never criticizing anyone on a stream again since I'm pretty much scrub head honcho
  • I'm mainly having an issue understanding how inputs work. Do I just jab in L > M > H as fast as I can and the character will execute normals back to back, with my inputs being faster than the duration of time the moves take? Or must I time my inputs based upon the speed of each character's normals? I know it seems like a weird question to ask, but half of my combos go through, the other half don't. :(
  • I still physically can't believe this game exists and is in my hands.

I am right there with you, still waiting on my copy (which for some reason went from Indianapolis to Missouri which isn't actually getting any closer to me here in New Mexico). Stay free Capcom.

Hah! I live in Missouri and my copy went from Indianapolis to Nebraska and then it just vanished. Still kicking myself over canceling my 2day free shipping amazon order for a damn shirt.

Hell they even removed my coupon code. never again Capcom.

My guide hasn't shipped yet. I guess I should be expecting a delay e-mail from Amazon?
Sod-mothering Amazon hasn't even shipped my copy of MvC3 yet. I was hoping they'd send it within 24 hours of my order, but no such luck. I ordered the guide from bookdepository.com (free shipping on any order! Woo!) because Amazon's product page says the guide ships in 1 - 3 weeks, and my reply was fuck that noise, I'm not waiting until March.

Don't really get the assist combos, was trying to do Morrigan's mission 6 or 7 where you have to call in a partner to help. Blah.

(To note, I am terrible at fighting games, I think I did ok to get that far!) D:

I'm liking Tron a lot now. Using her with X-23. No idea who else to pair up with though, any suggestions for this team? I can't find a third with some decent synergy. :/

Protip: time it differently!

I am a MvC noob. Ignore my advice.

Got my copy on Tuesday, ended up grabbing the strategy guide from Gamestop today in between classes. Game itself is awesome. For the most part I've been just playing around and doing arcade. So far, the only person I've consistently played with is X-23. Getting a decent combo off with her seems pretty easy overall and she's fast as fuck, reminds me of Sheik from SSBM for some reason. Doom is starting to grow on me too. The guide is awesome, I rarely if ever buy those things but this one isn't like the others. A lot easier when friends are over to just pass a book around instead of a laptop or having to go to a computer.

Okay, so before I make any final thoughts on this I wanted to see what anyone else thought. Every game I've played so far either gets to the last 10 seconds or ends in time out. I play a rush down style with Zero, Deadpool, and C.Viper. Sometimes I switch who is in the third spot, because I'm not yet 100% on the best third assist to go with this team of mine.

So my idea is I really really wish that Capcom would at least in private matches allow you to set it to infinite time. I don't know what everyone elses experience is, but even though I know combos that can really rip a person apart quickly the issue of getting in can be a pain, and if they play keep away time just bleeds and it sucks the fun out of the game for me.

My other problem I've been having a lot of is when I launch someone and extend the combo to then tag in a team mate almost always gets cancelled, because my opponent matches my input. It's a bit shitty that they have a 50% chance to get it right, so I was going to ask without a 1 bar of meter is it possible to get more damage from a string, launch, air, ground then ????. I've been trying to do some with Zero and Dpool, but no luck in the limited hours I had with the game. I think C.Viper definitely should be capable of something like that.

How effective/easy is it to set up things like that? Or is it not possible ?

Sorry for the long post I hope people can help and put some input on what I wrote.
