I'm 5 seconds away from slitting my wrists. How can you play a game for over 5 hours, bring it to a friends house, and lose every match to people who haven't even played the game?! I ragequitted against people who don't even own game!

I want this game pretty moderately. I never played the second game and my issue with this one is that I have no friends that would play it with me. I think I might have to wait for a price drop.

Keep at it. I remember I was sulking after losing to really casual players at college. Today? I came out on top of every match I've done. With KFC Viewtiful Joe too, which was so random. LOL. I hit Desperado after an air combo and it was a wrap.

I still have not picked my other two characters but I know I'll be sticking with Joe for the long run.

Yea I'm beginning to think X-Factor was a big mistake, too easy to turn a dominant loss into an easy win with it.

Sounds like the way I used to play Tekken! (I remember this one time someone kept hitting me with those running jump kicks that give you massive blockstun. FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-) Try to swallow the rage and pay attention to how you're being beaten. If you can remember what's giving you trouble, you can practice counter-strategies later.

Or: cheese with Sent, lol.

Indeed. They don't need to nix it completely but they do need to tone it down.

I wish they would of toned down projectile spammers. You almost have no answer if you get even mid range against some of them unless you also have characters who can spam projectiles. Viper's EX Thunder Fist alleviates this a bit but it's still annoying as shit.

Seeing the game being played here at the arcade for the last few days, x-factor has already evolved. It went from save it to last character always to being used much different, and better I think. People will snap in an annoying assist and burn it to take down that character, they use it to regen red life on the team quickly or they use it to kill a point man much more than last resort now.

I'm keeping, I just doubt I'll play anything aside from the computer though.I'm playing it at the dorms and it's seriously depressing me. My combos are solid, but I could swear they have some autoblock cheat on. I can never connect with a light attack.

Big think about marvel is learning to get hit confirms.

Actually zoning is pretty weak in this game. Unless you play it perfect. Try playing it yourself first to learn ways around it :P

Does anybody else find the standard button config a little awkward on a tournament SF4 stick?

How are you guys using sticks laying out your buttons?
SF4 stick = Config B
HORI stick = Config Y

I wonder if Capcom will address this stuff in a patch (if they can). When I was watching the Team Khaos stream the other day Buktooth had the other dude completely locked down from full screen with Arthur (and assists from other characters I don't remember). It wasn't pretty.

Must remember that Buktooth has been playing for months.

Holy SHIT, that's better! Thankies! :)

I don't think I'll ever be as good at this game as I am at Virtua Fighter 5, SSF4 or Soul Cali 4, but that's cool. It's still ridiculously fun.

Not saying I agree or disagree, but doesn't this statement actually support the claim a bit? Buktooth has been playing for months so he knows it will work and is effective? Why would he do something thats not effective? He's probably been playing against guys who have been playing for months too?

I dunno.

Anyways, spooky's stream got boring (wasn't stream monstering, just watching). We had 10 years of M/S/S, don't need to see it right off the bat in this one. I'll check out ipw's later to see that one.

Sent friend requests to some of you this evening through our GAF MvC3. I am awful, but I refuse to quit. Played some random guy for like 7 matches and lost all of them. He actually ended up leaving, so I guess I scored a moral victory or something.

ADD ME, YOU WILL WIN, and I will hopefully get better?

GT: D6AMIA6N

EDIT: Guy I was playing seemed to know what he was doing. His team was Dog, Spidey and Akuma. I was getting my ass kicked. How do you do one Hyper and then link it into another team members Hyper?

Yeah you really showed me how weak zoning was a couple of times you jerk.

Sorry about that invite earlier, I was just installing the game for now. Probably gonna go through training mode and a little arcade to get used to the new characters/controls.

0_o i'm pretty sure i would rage quit if i played online haha, watching a lot of random streams and so much spamming happening.

I saw some guy just use Zeros blaster and sword move the whole match lol. and he won

either way, can't wait to get the game.

Dat Iron Man in my team B^)

No sweat, will be on again tomorrow for a bit. It's still fun even when you lose!

I think I'm done for the night. I've kept Doru and Chun in my team all the time and switch out the third between Skrull, Trish, Deadpool, Viper and...well. Probably the entire cast except Tron. Wesker may be a good strong third but we'll see. Hurry up and patch in Spectator mode Capcom! I want in on some GAF rooms.

How come when I play with fight request on I either get a game immediately or never at all? Like I was just able to beat arcade mode with it on the entire time without getting a game.

OMG, I finally did it. I finally did that Dante combo that everybody always does. It's not hard, but just extremely awkward for me. I learned how to use a stick with SSF4 and transitioning over to MvC3 has been a pain in the ass control-wise. I have to slow down my inputs and do things I'm not just use to doing.

So far I'm not really feeling the game. I enjoy watching it, but not really playing it. I'll keep trying though, at least get an idea of how this game works.

Gah. Ok, I need help. Are there any FAQs out there that go over the basics of combining character attacks and combos?

Cause I feel like the same button inputs will sometimes result in a group attack, and other times, it will just cause one of the other characters to jump in for a quick buff or attack and then jump right out. :(

Damn...VF is so damn simple compared to this, lol. :lol

I used to be so good at these games - killing at the arcades in my mid teens. Playing this now on my new TE Fight Stick makes me feel like it's my first time. I was pissed at Mahvel last night and I feel bad for it. It's not its fault.

Exchanged my square gate for an octagonal and it's a little better... but failing at linking together combos and such the way I saw on all the videos makes me feel like an idiot :/ Maybe a stiffer stick is in order?

Phew.. don't mean to be such a downer. I'm actually still crazy excited for this game and love the visuals and gameplay so far. Just gotta get used to my stick and the fast muscle twitch needed for the game. I will prevail!!!

In that stream, Buk was just using a bunch of teams just to showcase them. He even used the characters he said were worst in the game.

Does he post anywhere? I'm curious about his opinion of MvC3's tiers (yeah I know, too soon).
