It was certainly impressive, but by the end, it became sort of a joke. Justin did the exact same combo all night long and not a single person could do anything about it. Wolvie rushdown with Akuma assist leading to 100% Wolverine combos (non-X factored IIRC). It was rather gross. There were no answers. Advancing guard did nothing. I'm not even sure he lost a round (maybe one round).
There couldnt possibly be a strategy that prevents it...

Just like Sentinel.

I am having a lot of difficulty finding games online games on the ps3. Especially ranked games. I have done about 50 searches in the past 3 days and have been able to get into a total of TWO ranked games.

And the regular games work about 60% of the time.

I'm betting most people are in the lab. I still haven t even tried online and very little games vs the cpu... my suckage level is extremely HIGH!

I don't think it's sweet at all, actually I don't see the fun in infinites. They don't testify to skill and the other player is just caught in a loop where they can't do shit.

If someone keeps doing an infinite to me I think i might ragequit, pussy as that may sound. How about giving the other player a chance to fight?

How about not getting into an infinite? It only works with X factor like X-23

Starting to get purchasers remorse. Not in love with this game like I am Super.

Its a different beast than sf4 that's for sure... at this point only thing I know for sure is I suck bad! And even the cpu can mop the floor with me lol (and thats on normal lol).

Playing footsies seems impossible at this speed and I keep eating all kinds of attack that I should of blocked...at some point only thing I am sure of is blocking low until I get an overhead or a grab... massively scrubby at this game.

Noob friendly? Extremely far from it!

Wow. Madkatz stick + turbo + two attack buttons + back or forward = mad dash abuse. It really shouldn't work as well as it does.

After messing about with the simulated input lag in training, I think so far my average online matches have equaled about three simulated bars of lag. The thing is, the lag-o-meter in training shows five bars, with the fifth being "lag free". Is this just offline input latency?

I ask, because a few matches I got were more responsive than /four/ bars on the simulated meter. One was, from my end, input-latency free.

When it comes to fighting games:

Street Fighter is usual ORDER

Versus games are CHAOS

Embracing the chaos factor will usually get you much further than having an order mindset. In time you'll start to get use to the system for what it is and it will evolve into ordered chaos. That's when everything will seem very open to you and some possibilities endless.

lay off the turbo button will ya

Why the hell did I get all responsible and do my assignments/get to sleep early last night? Catching up from where I was around page 125 (100 ppp), it seems like all the Sentinels disappeared at this tournament and everyone said "hey, let's play with Azure's hyped characters and (hopeful) mains for the lulz." On top of this I missed the Mayor of Earth piping everyone, a FUCKING CLOCKW0RK/NEO REMATCH, epic X-23 shenanigans and a good Tron? I have sadness now. I need a replay link for that Richard Dante and the Morrigan that was getting everyone all hype, stat.

It works terribly bad on Wesker, Sentinel and Magneto... Both the super fast turbo and fast turbo. They keep using medium punch at random times :lol

annnnnnnd now I found out arthur can chain lance x 3 into x 3 daggers into godess bracelet loop with xfactor and gold armor.... :D kills sent too

works full screen even :P

If this is when searching for a ranked match, then try playing arcade mode with fight request turned on. When I do this I usually see "new challenger" and get into an online match extremely quickly. I've never been able to finish a single fight in arcade mode with fight request turned on.

I understand it's not an excuse for "failed to connect" always popping up when you try to search for a ranked match, but it does work and will get you playing online.

*Edit* looks like Seraphis Cain beat me to it.

so the special button on the ground launches fools and the special button in the air slams them towards the ground? Is this universal?

When I play arcade mode with fight request on it usually takes like 3 matches for someone to pop in. If it does at all.

Fighting the computer in fighting games is one of my least favorite things ever, so I'll just suffer through the menus.

I went thru arcade mode a few times with out getting a fight request. Shit sucks. When I try to connect to a ranked game it just says failed to connect to host.

kewl! Can't wait to play this tomorrow, and just like games like SSF4 and WoW I can't help to feel like I'm left in the dust of players who already have "tons" ( few days ) worth of training on me.

Wont be fixed until Super version, lulz?

Eh, I never had any problems online with SFIV or SSFIV. Had no idea people were having real connection and lag problems until I started seeing posts on GAF about it. Havent tried Marvel online though.

That's what I get when I try to play ranked matches, no issues with unranked matches thus far...
It happens to me with everything. Even connecting to GAF rooms via invite is a matter of luck.

Don't forget to add the "GAF MvC3"(without the quotes) account so you could find play other gaffers even if your friends list gets full.

Cool, thanks, will do!

Will accept the friends requests later once the kids go to bed. Looking forward to the ass-kicking :).

*Reboots back out to menu*
*Connecting to Game*
*Failed to connect*

*Finally connects to game*
*Ragequit*

I'm still trying figure out the game and get some matches in. But only after about an hour or two. I kind of want to throw in the towel already. The networking is god awful.

oh oh, are the missions hard? I think I managed to clear 99% or so of the ssf4 trials and tbh some of them are ( for me ) just impossible to do on a 360 pad. I'm hoping the MvC ones are atleast doable on a pad. Hopefully...are they?

That's pretty sick.. so far I'm something like 80-19 so I'd like to think that's still pretty good :p. Had a 23 game win streak so far :D
My record is similar. I thought I was hot shit until this one guy who knew what he was doing just wrecked me.

If you hate fighting the computer, you can mess around in training mode with fight request turned on as well.

Lol I'm must be the most hated man on PSN right now.

As a keepaway/zoner player in MVC2, used Spiral/Cable/Sent and Sent/Cable/Com, as well as an Axl user in Guilty Gear. This game is like made for me. Testing out all the characters and the zoning possibilities are endless. Fave team right now is Chris, Sent, Hsien-Ko.

Finally, the last major difference between the three different Aerial Exchanges are that different directions give you different Hyper Meter boosts. Sideways Aerial Exchanges give you half a Level of Hyper Meter when they connect. Downward Aerial Exchanges give you an entire Level of Hyper Meter when they connect. Upward Aerial Exchanges, however, give you no Hyper Meter bonuses whatsoever. But if you need to build up Hyper Meter, Aerial Exchanges, particularly the downward ones, build up Hyper Meter faster than any other method in the game.

Man I had no clue about that. I figured that it was all pretty much the same for all the exchanges. I've got to get into training mode and practice the different types more. I have the timing down ok for the left and right one, but I've not really been using up or down at all.

I also didn't know that both sideways directions count as one type of air exchange. I figured you had to guess over 25% (up, down, left, right) rather then the actual 33.333% (up, down, left / right).
