Played one match online and won, although I feel bad about it. I picked random characters and basically won by spamming Tenderizer by accident. I was trying to do other stuff but it just always turned into that move D:

Happens to me a lot when using different characters, heh.

She-Hulk is awesome.

I love She-Hulk.

That is all.

The running clothesline, the senton bomb from a FULL SCREEN WALL JUMP, the dropkick, the shooting star, the slide, the slide tackle thing...

SO SATISFYING!

It's like using The Hulk...but faster. Such "meaty" feeling moves.

I was playing a couple of matches last night with some friends and my 360 D-pad broke. It's the new one with the twisting mechanic. Ugh... Have to go back to regular pad until I can get this exchanged hopefully. Loving the game!

I <3 X-23!

She's pretty much El Fuerte but totally badass and not fucking annoying as shit.

Went to Gamestation (UK) to get my copy today. Despite pre-ordering, I actually had to ask for the steelbook. Hmm.. Same deal as has been mentioned in this thread - normal box with an extra steelbook. Very half-arsed, IMO.

As for the game? It feels fabulous; I will definitely have to get used to having to put in combo inputs faster than the speed of sound if I want to be even half-good at this game. Mission Mode is awful. The way the moves disappear really puts me off, and having to press pause every single time I want to find out how to execute a move feels totally archaic.

Scrolling combos too? Couldn't they have just made that shit smaller?

I'm having fun, but it's definitely a little 'PS1' in places.

No idea if they're going to end up low tier or whatever but I like using them. Relatively balanced, feel like they're both dangerous at near or far range.

Best.Day.Ever. Finally found two boxes on my doorstep:

They even got the copy of Dead Space 2 that was stuck in the drive out. Talk about awesome! Time to boot up the system and install MvC3!

May be picking this up for PS3 today. I haven't really done a lot of research on teams and such, but I know I want Sir Arthur.
I want another G&G game so bad.
Take meh for a ride!

god damn it's tough to untrain 1500hours of SF4 :(

bad corky BAD! L+M atk doesn't give you focus attack! Stop it!

( neither does it in SF4 but my buttonconfigs are messing with my brains )

I can't play good on my Arcade Stick any ideas on how to improve? I'm really good with the 360 controller

Get in training mode and keep doing quarter circle and Z motion moves until you get it down. If you can't get used to it maybe you're just a pad player.

Yea it just seems like I can't do fast combos like I can on the pad. And im kinda mad cause I just customized my MadKatz Arcade stick and now I can't use it lol I'll keep training though till I get the hang of it

On the topic of further DLC characters (aside from Frank/Doc Ock, since they're looking fairly likely), wouldn't adding more characters mean they'd have to call in every voice actor who did work for the game to say the new character's names when they swap out?

As much as I'd like to see Gene and Moon Knight (among others), I don't know if it's realistic to hope for more than the DLC characters we already know about/suspect.

IF there wasn't going to be any more then they wouldn't be wasting everyone's time with those official voting threads, right?

It's possible that they might have a contingency for the voice issue, or they had them do a bunch of voices of characters not in the game?

I knew Dante was going to be good and I love him right now, but Wesker ended up being much much better than I'd anticipated. His teleport mixupgame is crazy and he deals ridiculous damage off of a simple ground chain->teleport->air combo. He hits like a truck.

Also, if your arcade stick has a square gate (literally, do a 360 with your joy stick. Does it feel like a square?), you don't want to 'ride' along the gate (i.e. when doing a quarter circle/Hadoken, if feels like you're moving along a right angle).

Try to find a sweet spot, refrain from moving along the gate, keep touching the gate to a minimal -- find your middle, in a sense. Before SF4, I had no idea what a square gate was... mostly played at the arcade w/ octo-gate (shaped like an octogon)

Why do I get hatemail when I play keep away with Phoenix. She's a glass cannon for fuck sakes, just super beam me to death. But it did felt deliciously great to win the match when he had 2 characters left and Phoenix was all I had left.

I'm ready to kick a wall in because there's no zoom in/out feature in training mode.

Yeah, your post reminded to order the Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate from Lizard Lick. Forgot about it since my stick hasn't arrived yet...
