I'm using simple mode now, and it explains so fucking much, this needs to be disabled for player match and ranked

Now I know how everybody seems to be a wesker master and be able to master air combos, this is straight up stupid

Same way with HDTVs vs CRTs. Feels so inconsistent on most HDTVs to me, on a CRT I can time combos and stuff so much more consistently.

This game is full of chains not links. You can pull the same stuff of with any neglibile about of delay. You just dial the combos in and thats it. A lot more lenient than sf4 in that respect.

You do not have the full move set when playing on simple mode

I got hate mail like that. One guy called me Pathetic and the other said I'm a '1 move dickhead'.
Beat both with Dante/Ammy/Phoenix. The funny thing is the guy who said I only used one move was the guy who made me spam Ammy's Cold Star because he was across the screen spamming his projectiles.
The Pathetic guy was mad at me for ruining his win streak with Dark Phoenix. I asked him 'you mad?' and he sent a reply saying that he was disappointed in me lol.

Yes, I suppose my team could be seen as cheap. Dante + Ammy assist to build meter, swapping between them when I need to. If they both die then I go at it with Phoenix teleporting about and fireballing + a few attacks then If I get Dark Phoenix out then I just go crazy with the chip damage + X-Factor. A win is a win anyway and I've been beaten plenty.
 
Breaking news, She Hulk bros:

I found out on Shoryuken forums that you can kara her command throw with c.M (2M); tested it and it also works with c.L (2L).

Even better though, I discovered you can kara into her level 3 Hyper Combo. Go out there and get'em, She Hulk GAFfers!

fuck i still cant find a 3rd member for my hsien ko, taskmaster team. i need a good spammer. i think i'll try out arthur. i fucken hate wesker btw.

Hah hah, when it comes to online fighting games, bro's see only what they want to see. Their infinite projectile spam is never cheap, while yours is stupid baby stuff. What it always comes down to is: they lost, so you're A BIG DUMB STOOPID for winning. It's your fault you won! You suck you winner! You lost by winning!

I will say though, in the evolution of brohate mail, that "youz only wun cuz devs r stupid made sucky game" is a trending topic. It is as if they just noticed that experts - or wannabe experts - are arguing over whether the developers know how to make a good game, and this seems like a wonderful excuse to explain why they can't win. It's not their fault. The game is broken!
 
hey how do you chain air combos with other team members? i keep doing it by accident but i don't know how to do it on my own. after getting my ass kicked several times by that tactic i think its time i learned it.

A direction and S in the air. Down gives 1 full meter, forward gives 1/2, up gives none
 
Playing a friend of mine tonight, Im even more confident in my team now (Team 3D - Deadpool, Dante, Dormammu) even though I couldnt do a simple down-forward attack to save my life for some reason. To mix things up, I really love Super Skrull, Zero, and Wolverine as my secondary squad.

i've honestly only had one instance of lag and it was only for a little bit of time but other than that i've been just fine. i'm on xbox live and i'm connected through an ethernet cable.
 
I got sick of waiting for the Crapcom store so I just went and bought a copy at GameStop. THIS SHIT IS SO GOOD!

Right now I am playing Dante, Iron Man, Sentinel and I am rocking a 11-6(or 7?) record online right now. It makes me laugh when people do a level 1 X Factor to kill Dante and then drop the combo. Even if they do kill him I just let Level 3 Sent come in at the end and give it to them.

I definitely see why people were saying the online is weird, it isn't too bad but it feels just off enough to screw up timing. Overall though this game is pretty amazing beside the broken matchmaking, it is making me super excited that I am going to EVO this year.

My favorite trick with him is to do his QCB+L into the H followup. It's easy to catch people off guard with it, it combos into his hyper then I can DHC into Iron Man for a ton of damage.

probably because just like Hazama he has style
. And I settled on Trish for 2nd because she is ok in a fight and you can probably make some interesting things happen with that trap assist. But I have no idea who to pick for 3rd. I don't really want to default to the obvious Sent or Dante.

So whose better overall Wolverine or X-23? I can combo Wolf's moves pretty easily but X-23 seems a little faster. Also I'm just not digging any of her specials.
 
Been playing the game for two days now so much fun. But hate the lobbies waiting for your turn is so boring. I just turn on fight request in arcade mode for now. I am getting beat pretty often everyone seem to be so good.

I forgot I was downloading something
My record is 11-0 so far. Using Chris/Dante/Deadpool. Damned fun game, though I already had 3 ragequitters and I expect to get a shit load of hatemail.

also i believe that the only thing that urgently needs changing is x-factor -- doesn't need to be taken out of the game, just toned down a bit, especially with the ability to increase chip damage. for an example just see clakey d's morrigan chip away with fireballs against mike ross during the wnf tournament

I'm trying. I understand the game system and how it works but there's just a few things that are throwing me off.

Like at the start of the round, I'm not sure what to do. Being able to move around before the round starts changes everything. When I'm right next to the other player as the round starts he always seems to get the first hit.

Try falling back and punishing with an assist then instead of going for the physical strike first off, but be wary of your opponent possibly punishing your assist with their own.

Street Fighter is like moves telegraphed hours ahead of time compared to this. The pace and frantic nature means the key to success is always keeping your opponent guessing.
