I wanted to toss mah TE stick :/

That is some bullllllsheeeet

I knew you were probably getting pissed. I used that same shit against Qua last night. Got like 4 or 5 wins straight.

Team Sodium Overdose up in that ass.

Any scubs that don't use sent wanna play? I'd love to play! I'm not very good LOL

Add me on PSN: Hieberrr

I'll be on in an hour or so. Gotta study first.

Just realized the back of the vest on Chris' DLC costume says STARS, meaning it's not the (very similar) BSAA outfit seen in Lost in Nightmares. This, in turn, means Jill's DLC will probably be her STARS apparel with the beret and shoulder pads rather than her ballcap/ponytail BSAA version. Which makes sense, since Cap knew only a handful of fans would like Jill's combat outfit -- and thus they'll all buy the DLC. Brilliant!

I will never enjoy the srk motion. I'll learn it, but I'll never enjoy it.
It seems to be iffy in this game for some reason. I can't do Spider Man's mission 4 because when I do the dp motion it gives me a web ball most of the time. Hopefully this gets patched or fixed like the ultras from SF4 to SSF4.

Yeah, the shoryuken zigzag has never come to me as naturally as a hadoken. Whereas a hadoken is just an attack button plus moving the analog stick a quarter of a circle, a shoryuken is more like tap forward and immediately do the quarter-circle forward. At least, that's what it feels like when I pull it off. Thankfully, not too many moves require a shoryuken. Virtually everything fancy in this game is a hadoken... And many things are simply a direction plus a button. :)

I do hear that Training Mode has a "Show Input" feature that's helpful for seeing how close you are to executing a shoryuken by showing your inputs onscreen. I'll have to try that to better learn the motion.

Thanks again for the great games. It looks like I need to hit the training room again, heh.
Ditto, I didn't pull off any team aerial raves that entire session. Bwuaha, you were pretty good at shutting that down quick. Your Joe is ace, and I notice we use some of the same characters. The Joe/Ammy/Capmerica team is actually my second backup reserve unit. And ma~n, your MODOK scares me. First time I've played against someone using him.

I want to pick this game up, but after playing some more MVC2 on PSN i realized that I may need a stick for this. Most other fighting games a pad is fine for me but I think this game is just too fast and requires super fast/precise inputs.

How easy is it to modify the TE stick to install a good bat top?

Was there a stream to a Canadian tournament today?

Saw JS Master play... fucking guy is an absolute beast.
Wat what? Where the footage.

I really want some fresh footage of mvc2 gods after a week with the game. Yipes, Sanford and the crew were still learning on them fadc videos

Just saw the footage of Jill, I am not digging what they've done to her.

Her look, moveset, personality, etc is just so off. I have no idea why they'd choose to focus on when she was infected and base her whole character about it. I hope if she gets a DLC costume, (hopefully her S.T.A.R.S. uniform), they'll change her dialogue, win pose, quotes, etc.

Hopefully since it's incomplete data, they'll work on that still before her release.

Question:

I think I saw someone (probably in this thread) that I could get MvC3 artwork for my SSF IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition S stick. I'm new to this whole modding of sticks, but where can I buy/get this art?

There are official madcatz templates that people use in photoshop to simply put together layouts for how they want their stick to look. I'm currently modding my SF4 arcade pro stick.

Also you need to get you some Sanwa Denshi buttons and a Sanwa Denshi stick. There like $2-$3 a piece and come in a range of colors...including clear so you can insert art into them!

Sanwa Denshi buttons are the god-tier stuff thats thrown into TE sticks that are super sensitive and last. A lot of the time you don't even have to sodder wires with these. Simply pop off your plugs, snap in your new buttons and plug them into the appropriate wires.

To get your art printed though go to a staples or copy center and pay $4 for a laminate label. That's why these look so good.

Well I think I have some of my team.

Taskmaster/X23/???

But yeah, started to play online and I suck. Not used to the fast paced combat, using MvC3 to learn to use a stick and not really having my team set yet. I need some other scrubs to fight against. :(

You got good cornering rushdown and wallbounce there but you could use not only a battery but some strong anti air with mixups. Try Morrigan.

Costumes dont change dialog or win quotes as far as I know. They are purely cosmetic.

I hope they can implement that. I don't really want to see Jill stabbing people in the neck with Uroboros in her S.T.A.R.S. outfit. :/

Her alt costume should come with her purchase.

How exactly do you inititate the air combo where you switch party members while still attacking? I only ever do it by accident

Somewhere in the air combo, use Special + Direction (up, left, right, or down).

Super easy. You're literally just using some pliers to unscrew the ball top and screwing on a bat top.

Interesting. I saw some video online where a guy was opening up the stick and messing with the wiring to get the bat top installed...is that something else? Was he replacing the entire stick assembly instead of just the top? Ideally I'd like to have something more similar to the springy bat top sticks I remember from U.S. Street Fighter/MK/Tekken machines of my youth.

Along with a complete personality makeover.

I have no problem with characters showing some skin, but did they have to sacrifice her entire personality to do so? I still don't get it.

He may have been switching the whole assembly. Putting a bat top by itself is just gonna change the grip but if you want it to emulate traditional US style happ stick it's going to take more work.

If he was messing with wiring, chances are he was removing the top panel entirely or doing something else weird. Putting on the bat-top is a really simple operation once the stick is open, you don't need to touch any of the wiring.
