How do you do missions in this game that require you to call in assist characters? I can only the ones that have an air combo right before the assist.

Today I had, I shit you not, 7, count them, 7 <----- different people in a ROW who all sent me rage messages. I was flabbergasted. During my playtime I also had 4 rage quitters.
I even had one of those 7 messages accuse me of using simple mode. Since when does styling on you for over a 100+ hit combo = simple mode? People are mad salty from this game non stop.

Yeah, I'd like to know what is up with this one as well. It's freaking me out because I keep getting matched up with people who appear to have just fifty or so wins until after the match where I find out that they've played over 600 matches.usea said:I've only got one message. Some guy said "nice way to play bitch" I replied "thank you." I think I owned him with the pipe over and over.
I sent one guy a message after he beat me whole team with amaterasu. I said "nice ammy". I killed his first 2 characters and he somehow comboed each of my team one after the other in the corner with her. I was amazed.
As for my team (skull, haggar, sent) I think I'll stick with them for a while. I tried picking up modok and dante, but neither fit very well. Each of my guys seems very useful at times, so I'm happy.
What's with the win/loss record of opponents being way different before and after a match? Like it leaves off the hundreds place sometimes. This guy was 120-45 before the match (with a really high win%) and then after I beat him his record changed to 120-145 with the appropriate percent.
MrMephistoX said:On disc DLC is kind of maddening but people are neglecting to mention the fact that the On disc content in this case is incomplete based on hacking reports. They're polishing it off so to speak and if you bought the CE it's free. Either way you spend $10 more why the fuss?
I'm almost ready to give up since a new one of these pops up every day but think of it this way. What makes capcom more money $60 disc + $40 worth of characters (Jill and Shuma are $5 and I'm assuming 6 more characters ) + $30 minimum in alternate outfits or a $40 disc? At best Super will be more of a greatest hits edition like Oblivion or Fall Out. The only reason SFIV didn't follow this model is that it was a gamble and hooks were not in place for DLC.
Shit is ridiculous. I'm at 79% complete on the missions and I haven't been able to do a single one of those.Jeo said:You mean something like L, M, assist, H right?
In that situation I hit M and assist at the same time
L, M+assist, H

Thank god for the machine
I'll give it another shot in a few minutes.zlatko said:It's pretty easy if you know how to hit two buttons at once lol.
Some partner assists are done as you are coming down from the sky from a launcher----these you can generally just mash the assist button all the way down. Others want the assist during a combo and just either want you to go fast or hit the buttons at about the same time. L, M, Assist, H, launch usually is L, hit M and assist at same time OR just go fast as hell. It helps to sometimes just break down what the game wants you to do without the assist in there. So if you can do what the parts are without the assist, then all you really need to do is just hit one extra button fast within what you can already do.
Trying to land some of those links is like torture I swear. Street Fighter IV's mission mode is more frustration than fun.zlatko said:None of the challenges in this game come even remotely close to some of the stupid shit SSF4 wanted done, and to make it worse SSF4's shortcut inputs can make some nightmare results occur.

Spruchy said:yeah it changes from the 3 guys im playing to fail to join game sessions or no requests.
This is hands down one of the most poorly made online components of any game.
Haha nice.zlatko said:Speaking of people being idiots....

I have no problem combo-ing to the second flamethrower.
When I jump cancel it into m-m-h, shulk always techs out before the h hits so i can't finish with h > lunch rush.

Mit- said:Including Amaterasu's weapon change combos. They really aren't that hard once you realize that you can use the 'down' input from something like a crouching H, and count it towards the weapon change. So crouching H, down M = crouching H to weapon change.
Eh, I thought that made it a lot easier once I knew I didn't have to frantically mash down twice to weapon change and only had to tap it once.Sir Ilpalazzo said:I think that's exactly what makes it so hard, especially since you have to immediately follow up with another combo.
Threi said:is there a reason capcom put the characters in front of the lifebars? A lot of the time (especially with big chars like sentinel) the bar gets obscured. The super bar is always on top so i assume it's not just lazy programming.

This is funny coming from the guy who's made post after post bitching about achievement grinding. You gotta stop obsessing over those things, man.TheSeks said:Capcom has some weird priorities when it comes to their fighting games, I fucking swear.
Yeah, I'm finding it really difficult to deal with that shit online. It's very difficult to block or dodge many things on reaction. Or even when you know it's coming. Getting a bit sick of it. I like my friends and all but I wouldn't mind swapping a few for people who like to play the occasional fighting game!Ferrio said:Just took my worse raping in the game yet vs a zero/sentinal.
