Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Characters and Stages Roster Discussion Thread

Oh word? That's cool. Can't wait to see what the PC guys do with it once it's out.

I'm getting the physical copy, so I have to wait till Tue unless there's a midnight release for other games.

If one buys the game through gmg (since they have the 16% off on the game) if it doesn't run well on their laptop or of they can't get a refund right ?

I cannot wait to play Wolverine in this game. Logan was so good!
I hope we get some X-men in the initial roster
I hope we do, but we likely won't given that the base roster was probably decided back in 2015. But hey, better DLC than not at all.

As Neoxon has said some times before, it depends when the base roster was decided. It seems that this year is not so harsh, so they could be DLC too.
This, basically

So this is the UMVC3 pc launch thread as well? I was mediocre but at least I played this game back in the 360 days, any steam groups or discord room I can join when the game launches?

Are people planning to play this? Personally, since I no longer have my 360, I simply cannot wait :P

There's an OT for the PS4 version of UMVC3 as well. Would be cool if it were amended to include X1 and Steam.

So, CPT_Damon told me that he couldn't reveal when we'll hear more about Infinite, but said "unfortunately I cant. but it's worth the wait! TRUST ME!"

Damn it.

Gonna check that out in a bit.

I have faith it'll be a good first reveal.

Same here. I have a feeling the next reveal will really knock the ball out of the park.

Now I'm just trying to figure out if Capcom is going to be at PAX East. Nothing other than a few fighting game tournaments are mentioned on the main site. Having said that, Square Enix just revealed their own schedule at PAX even though this isn't on the main site. That at least means there's a chance Capcom could be there.

whats the word on the pc port thne? of 3 of course

Derek Alexander, aka. the YouTuber formerly known as the Happy Video Game Nerd, is great. As is Stop Skeletons From Fighting. I've been following his work essentially since he started.

Cant wait to see the dope mods for this game.

refunded Ultimate, and felt pretty bad about it, its a great port. But that sudden realization that you will never play this videogame, just like I never play any of the fighters I buy (just last sale I bought Revelator, Arcana Heart and Melty Blood, played like 30mins of Arcana and didnt touch the others).

Im actually wondering what Ill do about Infinite now tbh, im still super hyped for reveals and shit, and I will love to watch it like I love watching Marvel, but...yeah :/

Ill still probably buy it (lol) even tho I will know the end result will be the same as usual.

From what I read, this tourney was a CPT event last yr. That tells me they're likely more informed on Infinite than I originally thought.

Having said that, it could still be an exhibition using a demo build. We'll see.

something to watch while u wait for reveals

Past Mortem | The History of Marvel vs Capcom

His description of Marvel's selling the rights to their characters is incorrect. They didn't do it for quick cash after bankruptcy. They did it because rights to their characters simply weren't valued that highly back then, not by the people purchasing them, and not by the people selling them.

The game now is not what the game used to be.

People just like the narrative that Marvel was up against the wall and did what they had to as a way to explain why they were "forced" into selling rights to valuable characters. It makes more sense as a narrative. But it's not true. They weren't forced. They thought those were good deals.

Asked CPT_Damon if Capcom was going to be at PAX East. He said he'll be at FR and Wondercon, but isn't sure if Capcom will be at PAX. I guess we'll see.

Uuugh. When are we going to get some info?
I know that other games have been silent for longer times but this feels like ages lol

I think you should share this info with him. Maybe he'll revise the video

Combofiend should be there (maybe even announce it?) and Capcom should reveal Spencer at Final Round this week because it would be so fitting

BIIIIOOOOONIC AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARM

Spencer/Winter Soldier at Final Round

Do it.
