Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Characters and Stages Roster Discussion Thread

Funny thing is Lupinko dropped the most obvious Vergil hint and I didn't even think of it because it was too obvious.

People thought the Iron Fist hints were Jubilee and the Firebrand hints were Carnage.

People also somehow were convinced that Megaman Starforce would be in the game when in reality those were hints for Dr Strange.

He also made a hint about dozen donuts and no one took it as meaning that we would have 12 new characters. People thought it meant that it was releasing in December.

I'm pretty sure few people said 12 donuts = 12 characters and Karsticles did mention Red Arremer but Lupinko disconfirmed that. Kinda.

I need to check that thread out for nostalgia.

Lupinko oughta made a reference to me instead. 8)
Tho I probably still was Becquerel back then. I think I switched my name around the same time Firebrand was announced actually.

I remember the yellow fever one, some of us thought that it could be Psylocke but we were wrong...

Marvel Games creative director Bill Rosemann told IGN at DICE 2017 that the teams behind Marvel’s upcoming video game releases were granted the freedom to come up with their own storylines, and they won’t have to match release dates with upcoming films. These include: Spider-Man for PS4, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, and The Avengers project from Square Enix.

It's a little something, at least.

That's good, although I wonder if they won't allow character overlap between the Sony Spider-Man game and MvCI if they're expected to come out around the same time. This winter or early next year seems like a likely release for the Sony game.

I hope the Sony game doesn't mean we won't see someone like Doc Ock or Goblin if that game features them.

I'm hoping the Spider-Man game costume is an alt for MvCI Spidey.

All of us are waiting...
I'm getting the feeling that the game will be delayed. Not that I mind though, better not to have another rushed one.

I'd be totally fine with a delay. Just the fact that I know this game exists is enough. A couple months ago I didn't think another MvC game was even being discussed, now I know we are at worst a calendar year away.

Capcom usually releases games on February, well, at least SFV and MVC3 were around that date. So maybe if it's get pushed to 2018, February could be the release date month.

Either case, I really w ant to see something new, info, trailer, teasers, etc...

I'd just like to see more gameplay, even with just the 6 confirmed characters. I'm really interested in Captain Marvel and especially X's moveset.

They'd better up Strider's damage or give him 1-bar Ouroboros again if they want him to be worth picking with no assists.
Strider 1 on 1 beats most of the cast in Marvel 3 lol. Ported over he would be too strong in Marvel Infinite.

The assist thing works both ways, other characters don't have the defenses or the mobility to protect themselves against Strider.

If the game is delayed I'm fine with it, I'd just like them to actually give us some more info on it. Even a slow drip is fine but it's just kind of wrong to announce it, give us an update then just cut us off.

Yeah, it feels like ages (not that other developers haven't gone silent for more time)
Hipefully we'll get something soon.

If we dont get new info i'm going to shoot and OPTIC BLAST right in the DAMN HEAD TO EVERY SINGLE OF YOU in this thread.

Hoping for GDC news myself!

Hope some of the newcomers from MvC3 join Infinite. Just finished watching Dr.Strange and it would be a shame if he was only in 1 game

This thread is 119 pages and there hasn't been a character reveal since December? What the hell are you guys talking about in here lol?

For real though, when do you think we'll get another character reveal?

Alright, the physical copy of UMVC3 is out next week. Hopefully we'll know more about Infinite by then.

Does anyone believe the new comic will give any insight into the upcoming story for Infinite? I'm kinda hoping it does.
