It'll probably just be based on the events of UMVC3, but I'm hoping there's a teaser about Infinite at the end.

As someone that desperately wants a Viewtiful Joe 3 (none of that Red Hot Rumble or DS shit), I can sympathize with him/her. Capcom is sleeping on so many of their own IPs it's not even funny.
Also, Zangief doesn't have THE PIPE so he loses out to Haggar. We need less Street Fighter reps, not more.

If that's the case, I wonder if it's still a 2017 release. And if so, I'm worried it will have the same fate as SFV in the mainstream due to quick turnaround and little content on launch.
I think it's just going to be Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Nazi Captain America, Ryu, X and Morigan as the full cast now.

It's already past mid Feb, too late for the pro tour. This game will be DOA in the FGC.
Unlikely. Unless they severely butcher the gameplay, MvC has a rabid fanbase. They'll be raring to go for next year's EVO. Even then, they implied that Marvel wants to host its own tournaments/events. They're working on Marvel time, not Capcom or FGC time.

If Street Fighter V wasn't , I don't see why marvel vs. Capcom Infinite would be DOA. Unless MvCI is somehow worse than SFV, but... that is unlikely. I hope

SFV made it a priority to come out in February for whatever random tournament was that month so it was saved for the FGC and now all the haters are left behind
Seriously, I love SFV but that game needed more time in the oven. Should have been delayed at least a couple of months.
I thought it would have been obvious, but I guess not. I was assuming that MvC:I would be part of the pro tour though.

It's true sadly. I really wish they had just delayed SFV and launched it with an arcade mode and the story. People would be a lot less negative if they had just done that.
