Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Characters and Stages Roster Discussion Thread

All these characters and marvel fans just gotta be like

I'm just looking forward to UMVC3 for the time being. It is annoying seeing all of these games get announcements while we can't get anything as simple as artwork, though.

Same. Looking forward to playing UMVC3 on Tuesday - bought both the PS4 and Xbone versions physically and pre-ordered the digital edition on Xbone.
 
So, Edge of Venomverse is a thing and looks to be the lead-in to a Venom event for the entire MU. I'd guess Venom is incredibly likely for MVCI... (Otherwise why would it be the EDGE of Venomverse?)

And I think we'll get MVCI news in a few weeks.

Unless Marvel is intentionally withholding information for all their games as some sort of new policy (has there been any news on Spider-man PS4, MVCI, TellTaleGuardians, #Reassembled since they've been unveiled?) or Capcom is too busy planning the releases of the SFV Season 2 DLC

I'm pretty sure we'll get something this month.
 
Damn, so eddie brock back as main venom AND a straight on venom event.
Yeah I would say he's a lock at this point (Or at least I hope). Seems like Marvel is turning around for whatever reason with him. Wonder if the upcoming Spider Man film will have Venom teases too. I know Sony owns Venom and could in essence do whatever they want with him. But I could see marvel going "Hey, if you want this collab to work out. Let us help you with introducing venom".

The moment that Brock!Venom was pretty much confirmed to be returning, I saw it safe to presume that was the version we would get in MvC. After all, it's not like that version had a chance to be missed for too long, as Brock's was put into various mobile games in the last few years, too.

He's the one that people know and love the most, and also a veteran in the MvC series. Makes all the more sense that he'd be the one most prone to getting in, as opposed to Flash's.

Would love Venom in, I would imagine he'd be DLC but ill take him any way I can get
 
I find it more suspect everyone else leaked at once, but definitely surprised we didn't get a Marvel fighter in that wave. I mean, not even obvious picks like Dante & the Hulk?

... Granted, Pokkèn's new characters are probably just the ones the arcade game just got.

Exactly.
I have no doubt Doom will eventually be included, if he's not in the default roster himself. I mean its DOOM, he's (among) Marvel's best and most popular villains


I love MVC2 Dooms winposes. Anyone got the one where he summons a whole bunch of Doombots who laugh at you

While they said they aren't going to force releases to coincide with other media, they could easily be withholding the details. I'm not expecting any Spider-Man or Guardians info until closer to their movies.

Yeah, considering how many different versions of characters there are being able to get a skin with a nice or two changed would be a pretty cool way to keep people happy and broaden the roster a bit.

I believe that's how Injustice 2 is supposed to be doing it and it's similar to the different styles in MKX.

In Injustice 2, each character has two slots for "abilities" in the gear customization menu.

Different characters have different abilities. Every ability is different in how it works. Some add a meter-burn version to an existing move, some add a new move entirely, some replace an existing move, some upgrade an existing move and some (like one of Superman's abilities) take up 2 whole slots and change something drastic. In Superman's case,his Super move has a different startup and animation.

Though this is disabled in online ranked mode, and in offline tournament play.

I haven't been following I2, I must have read some speculation regarding it and thought it was fact. Thank you for clarifying.
 
I'm not sure how the Fox DLC will be packed, if it even exists. But if the game was 3v3 and each side was sold alone I would expect it to be Wolverine, Magneto, and Dr. Doom. Since the game is 2v2 it makes more sense for them pair a character from each side. But if not I can see it being just Wolverine and Magneto.

If they are pairing one character from each side I kinda hope Akuma and Chun-Li are paired with Wolverine and Storm. Even though I am actually having a lot of fun with Akuma in SFV for the first time.

Just be cause the game is 2v2 doesn't mean they have to budge characters like that.
