Do we still think x men characters won't show up in the base game? It seems that the marvel mobile game features xmen characters in it.

Design Document for MVC:I was more likely to be finalized like two years ago or so it's unlikely. SneakerSo said no Fox characters iirc.

I still have some hope but it's almost confirmed at this point, both Sneakers and Ryce said that they would be added as DLC...

So people, we have a new leak, take it with a grain of salt. (From GF)

right just going to throw this out there weather you want to buy into this or not. With the recent trailers for MvCI, I can no longer contain my silence. What you are about to read below if the full roster for Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. The FULL roster will clock out at exactly 68 characters. This includes the full launch roster which totals 50, the 6 "new" DLC additions per the recent trailer along with 12 returning fighters including the "Fox owned" characters which will be added post launch. Scarlet Witch (with her unique ownership) notably was added as one of the 6 to show that "Fox" owned characters joining the roster is indeed a reality. There was also debate of which new Darkstalkers character would be included, Dimitri, Jedah & Lord Raptor were all considered but ultimately Jon Talbain got the nod. The debate lasted so long that the development team left him off the initial roster & lift him as DLC. Lastly Hayato was considered to return but Samanosuke was chosen to add representation for the Onimusha series.

No, I loved the fact that his BnB was H, H, H, H, H, H, H, H... Made perfect sense for a character with as many tools as him to also have amazing damage scaling and meter gain. And he might as well be able to convert off of any throw, air or ground, any height jump. Why not. Oh, and go ahead and be able to do your Level 3 into your Level 1. Makes sense.

I'm ready for a major redesign of Magnus, even though that would be met with a heavy amount of disdain from the community.

I'd imagine that they could release Thor & Hulk's pre-order costumes to everyone else around the time of Thor: Ragnarök's release.

Gladiator Hulk & short-haired Thor are in the initial DLC for a reason

This is a balancing issue not a design issue.

The only mobile games that are featuring the X-Men right now are the ones that were made either before Contest of Champions (Marvel Heroes, Marvel Puzzle Quest) or CoC itself. None of the post-CoC games have added X-Men or Fantastic Four characters right now, though there are rumors of Avengers Academy adding the X-Men. Also, SneakersSO (a known insider) mentioned that there won't be any Fox characters in either the base roster or the 2017 Character Pass.

Going off of that & what Ryce said about the Fox characters eventually being DLC, we'll likely see them by at least the 2018 Character Pass. It sucks, yes, but at least we'll eventually get said X-Men/F4 characters (as much as I'd prefer them in the base roster).

Gonna feel weird having no X-Men or Doom in the base roster. It'll definitely be a bad look, but I'm hoping it won't impact sales too badly.

I just hope that Capcom tries to compensate for that likely PR hit by making everything else about the game, including the Capcom side of the roster, as badass as humanly possible. I mean, the blow-back from the lack of Fox characters on Day 1 may not be apocalyptic, but I'm sure there will be some backlash (if I recall, some critics docked points from Disney Infinity 2.0 for the lack of X-Men).

Judging by Cammy's new Cyclops & Psylocke colors for her SFV Battle Outfit, Capcom likely does have a genuine love for the X-Men. One can only hope that they get in the roster via DLC sooner rather than later.

I wonder if that's why they are doing the 2v2 thing with no assists. They say it's to reduce complexity for new players, but a generic versus games with unique tag mechanics that later turned into a Marvel game makes more sense to me.

I think we'll get both. But from the ammo counter someone pointed out when the gameplay hit. Chris probably only gets so many shots of the magnum before he has to wait for it to come back or reload.

Chris Redfield has an interesting mechanic where he needs to reload his magnum revolver after he fires it three times, but I don't think I ever managed to successfully do that without getting severely punished.

Good choice. Blood Ryu would be amazing character for any fighting game since they could pull a lot of potential stuffs for him.

I think Blood Ryu was considered for TvC but they ended up going with Soki.

Not really. It's not like Smash Bros. Niitsuma actually considered Fou-Lu and Nina for U/MVC3. What kind of power did Ryu BOF6 have? I haven't really play mobile game yet since I don't think it's out in the West yet.

I guess it might be a balance reason since I could see Magnum being so good with Time Stone's Infinity Storm.
