Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Characters and Stages Roster Discussion Thread

I'm pretty passive on whatever the final roster is, since I know and accepted the characters I really, really want have slim-to-nonexistant chances.

I'll be happy with the more obvious choices: Black Panther, Kamala Khan and Gene
 
I just hope by the time MVCI stops getting new characters Zero finds his way back onto the roster so I can have my dream team X & Zero.

I mean obviously if I can get Bass or Bass.exe that would be amazing but I doubt that'll happen and I'm not gonna pull a jawmuncher.
 
Zero is gonna make it to the base rooster. I'm not expecting this game to have any genuinely novel or interesting character; just a bunch of people that have already been in VS games.

If Rogue made it in, I'd scream internally and externally. If it's one Xmen that got pushed aside the hardest. Not holding my breathe. Got to make room for generic white dude, weird obscure monster thing, and non license disagreement replacement.
 
It'd be nice if it was X-Men Vs Street Fighter Rogue. That Rogue was super fun. Experimenting with all the various techniques she could obtain. I hated how whack her power drain was in MVC2. I know she wouldn't be able to drain all 55 characters, but still.

I feel it would be an unrealistic amount of work to incorporate depending on roster size, but then again look at Kirby in SSB4

why? the moves that she would copy are already in the game. Also this isn't hand drawn sprites anymore, they can assign any move to any character in the data. so as an example, when rogue kisses morrigan she steals soul fist, when rogue kisses Ryu she steals tatsu, ect.
Right???

Who are you referring to? Is Shuna the "weird obscure monster thing"?

Yeah this was so unique and cool. Plus as I recall it was unblockable as in you needed to jump out. As I kid I loved putting my back to the corner, power drain into super

Nico is possible. Marvel has been pushing her in the comics with central roles in A-Force, Avengers Arena and Avengers Undercover. And then there's the TV series. The Staff of One would make for an interesting and unique playstyle if the concept behind it is used.

They should build an algorithm for a "spell visual" generator so that every time she casts a spell, it's a "new spell" visually, but the technical effect and hit boxes are the same. Would be very cool.

That also means more work, and lower chance of her addition (unless they just do a standard moveset for her).

Yeah, that move was great for catching people who weren't expecting it.

She had a variety of stuff. My fav was the Raging Demon with the cool X in the background.
 
The real reason it's 2v2 now is because the next DLC characters are:

The Runaways
Cloak and Dagger
The Guardians of The Galaxy
ALL of Los Boricuas
The Defenders
 
Toucan/Tiger aka rain forest fever would bop all of yall in KvC, any amount of money.

Hoping we at least get DD. I'd say IF or Jessica would be most likely next . Yes these are tales from my ass but still.
 
I'm trying to really think about villains that would naturally fit in a story like this.

Since it says the heroes and villains are working together to fight Ultron-Sigma, it's easy to think of villains who would be doing this (Wesker, MODOK, Thanos, Bison, Doom) in hopes of getting something out of it. Vergil's eyes would light up at the possibility of acquiring the Infinity Gauntlet. Akuma seems like the type to be more excited at fighting Ultron-Sigma than taking the Gauntlet.

When I think of villains like Jedah, it's kinda hard imagining a scenario where he'd care to even fight against Ultron-Sigma. Mainly because he's from a demon world.

What villains would from both Capcom and Marvel do you think fits perfectly in the story?

Delacroix from Chaos Legion would've been great. He'd probably be on Ultron-Sigma's side though. His goal was to unite all the worlds (celestial, middle and nether worlds) so he could be with his dead girlfriend again and he'd stop at nothing to achieve it.

Would make a badass henchman at least.

Pyron could want to add the Stones to his collection, as it's pretty much reality itself.

I remember that at the beginning, Ryce's tease about the new character from the Capcom side was thought to be Pyron but don't remember why it changed to Jedah later. It could be any of those two that's being included.

Well it was always him just hinting, so it was never confirmed to be Pyron. Plus I think he gave a hint that actually denied him. Because of that bit where Ryce couldn't deny that one leaked roster from before we got the new info, it looks like he was referring to Jedah, since Jedah was on that list.

Because Ryce indicated later it's not Pyron.
