is this an early mvc3 screenshot? Mags looks so evil and swag.
It's a PC mod.

I really doubt that's the case, but it would be for the greater good hahah. It's funny seeing people suggest that Ryce's source and others were given a fake list to see if they could find the leaker.
Yeah right.
I really like the idea of doing themed DLC packs like that though.Fuck as hell.
A whole DLC of Darkstalker characters? Yeah no. Then again it's Cacpcpcpcom to who knows at this point.

oh nice.It's a PC mod.
Yeah that's fine and all but Darkstalkers?
I wish I could say things like this, but nobody likes unlockables anymore.![]()
Yeah that's fine and all but Darkstalkers?
If this is the rate at which they're going to pump out characters? Sure, why not! The game's roster will quickly be ginormous anyway, which would make having 6/21 Capcom Reps be DS reps not a big deal in the long run.Yeah that's fine and all but Darkstalkers?
I think you mean a real kick to the Dick.Sam can screw off. Getting Sam instead of Dick would be the real kick in the groin.
It might work if they are doing the whole 4 seasons per year thing.I really like the idea of doing themed DLC packs like that though.
I really hope you're right & that Capcom was allowed to make Richard Rider the default. But if Gazillion was able to for Marvel Heroes, maybe there's hope for MvCI. And yeah, Marvel has dialed it back on the Sam push. That was when Sam was still a brand-new character. But I do hope that Capcom was allowed to make Rider the main. I do think Marvel has come around trying to shove Sam down everyone's throat, which is why they brought back Rider and stopped shoehorning Sam into everything.
DLC characters are just a fact of life when it comes to fighting games (see NRS games, ASW games, even the likes of Smash & Tekken). But if that post is accurate, I do agree that the amount of DLC for MvCI would be a bit excessive within a short amount of time.Fuck dlc characters.
Stages costumes custom life/super bars whatever are ok but please no more charters locked behind a pay wall
All the characters bar Nova (and the Nova Corps have been in the movies) are MCU. Marvel views this first and foremost as a promotional vehicle and made sure their babies were first in line.I scanned the thread and didn't see this, I still need to get caught up, but I have to get this out.
With Ultron as an Avengers villain, literally half of the Marvel side is Avengers. Yes, many of them are popular in their own right. Yes, many of them have had their own standalone movies. Yes, they're very successful.
But you can't defend this.
Half of the Marvel side is Avengers.
Literally half. No rounding. Seven of fourteen.
Get out of here.
If really wanna be technical. Only Ultron, Thanos, Gamora, and Rocket aren't some kind of AvengersI scanned the thread and didn't see this, I still need to get caught up, but I have to get this out.

Yeah, if a Darkstalkers character should be included, Demitri could be one of them. Morrigan & Demitri (a la PxZ) must happen. If we talking about Darkstalkers, Demitiri should be DLC then. Get my favorite Project X Zone duo in this.
Concerning Nova, Richard was only on the Secret Avengers, whereas Sam was on the main Avengers team at one point. If really wanna be technical. Only Ultron, Thanos, Gamora, and Rocket aren't some kind of Avengers

Sorry if off topic even though it's Marvel vs capcom related but is there a website where I can get the mods for UMVC3?

I feel like the more descriptive a leak is, the more likely it is bullshit. Trying to compensate for it being fake by adding lots of details, etc.
The roster is objectively terrible.
-Only 28 characters, a series low since MVC1.
-6 DLC, which will have to be paid for separately. These are the actual new characters and assets being charged for when they should be in the base game
-Reused (almost 100% reused) character assets AND a low character count means there are going to be huge problems with the base game. This is pure rushed of the door laziness
-Less than half are actually new, as in made from the ground up and not reusing assets
-MCU focus means the legacy of the series isn't even represented.
-Capcom side is just as pathetic, why GnG got 2 reps in a 14 man lineup makes no sense. On top of Jill and Wesker losing out to Nemisis. These aren't even new characters, they'll be reused assets as well.
-Lack of women and people of color. Could have been alleviated just resusing assets from MVC3.
-Lack of fan favorites on BOTH sides.
It's fucking awful for many reasons for many people.
When almost half of Marvel's comics are marketed towards female readers and your game only has 2 playable Marvel female characters, that looks really bad. This isn't 90s or mid-2000s Marvel. This is 2017 Marvel.
Tell that to the several MCU-only (at least at the start) Marvel games on mobile platforms that have been making Marvel games more money than ever. This game ain't for casuals because Wolverine not being there is the biggest no no. Wolverine is more popular and recognizable than anyone on the Marvel side of the roster and there isn't a close second.
This is old, but I didn't read that bit about them not being launch characters necessarily (and I find it pretty shaky that they corrected themselves afterwards to say they're not talking about launch necessarily).
Demitri will have a different super then, because I his supper IIRC is why he isnt in MVC in the first place
Midnight Bliss IIRC.Demitri will have a different super then, because I his supper IIRC is why he isnt in MVC in the first place
I wouldn't mind her. She was fun to play in 2.The only Darkstalkers character that deserves to get in is Bulleta.

Yes yes yeeeeees. I loved Demitri thanks to PxZ (loved his interactions with Dante and Morrigan as well). Was dissapointed to learn he wasn't featured as playable in most Capcom crossovers. This needs to happen.Yeah, if a Darkstalkers character should be included, Demitri could be one of them. Morrigan & Demitri (a la PxZ) must happen.

Oh, really? They didn't include that part of Midnight Bliss in the PxZ games and it was fine. Either way, go for it Capcom!Midnight Bliss IIRC.
Is there any precedence for a retail, $60 game that's had a poor launch but has accumulated a community and commercial success via microtransactions and DLC?
SFV perhaps but we don't even really know besides the fact that they're still investing in it (and fans seem sort of happy with the content)?
I'm rolling my eyes at aggressive DLC plans when/if MvC:I bombs at retail. Wouldn't be surprised at the strategy Riku described, though. People, including me, will probably pay. In general, I'm reaaaaaaaaaally skeptical that games can make up for lost ground for poor launches with DLC and sales down the road. At least it never works that way for the games with the biggest communities.

MvC:I will be at D23 in July. There's only so much time between now and release but June and July are packed with announcement opportunities, and D23 is one of the more likely ones even if it's close to EVO.
Hopefully we get the real important announcements - some damn key art so I can start working on the OT.
SDCC will be where the real shit drops, it's always a big event for Capcom (UMvC and SFxT were both revealed their.)
there are quite a lot of events starting with E3 then we still have D23, EVO, SDCC, Gamescom, NYCC, TGS and PSX.
No pre-release announcement for MVC:I will be half as hype as this at NYCC for MVC3:

I remember people went crazy about Arthur Announcement.
