Tons of people also played the demo, so it's not like most people don't have a point of reference in what the pros are playing.
Right. This is very important. I'm sure you bringing up this point will be important in this conversation later.
There's a lot of potential in the gameplay system, but the reactions are over the top. Which is why a lot of people are questioning the authenticity of the reactions.
Questioning what exactly? You can play the demo right now and get a glimpse of that creativity meme they spout. You can see the mechanics for yourself. People have played the CEO/E3 demo and loved it and said the same thing as the pros. There are literal matches with literal whos playing all over youtube exploring the game. Each of those shillsert people really like Marvel and like fighting games. Justin Wong was over the top with DBZ, so was Max, and so was Yipes. Are they shills for that as well?
Also MVCi didn't win a single award at E3, even among its own peers. For a game being catered to casuals, it isn't working as intended.
Lol that literally has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. E3 awards are fucking dumb - they gave a bunch to Evolve and that game turned out like shit.
Esports = money. Dead game = no esports. No esports/big scene = no money. To say money doesn't have any sort of influence is naive
Money has influence, but not how you think.
First of all, as KP said, they haven't confirmed anything in terms of a CPT like circuit. They have to convince Diseny/Marvel why that shit matters. So that's not stuck in stone. Secondly, again, whatever they say doesn't matter because
regular people can and have tried out the game and liked it. Even backing up their claims of it being fun. People even said that about the demo, sans the graphics.. If people weren't able to play the game the same way they did, sure, let lose, but everyone at E3 and at home have had a chance to play the demo and see how the game is. Shilling works better when consumers can't get ahold of the product and test it out for themselves. Finally, all three are community leaders. If the game is shit, there's no amount of shilling that could save it. It'd be smarter for them to save face and stay with SFV (which all three do as well as Marvel) if the game turned out irredeemable.
The pure fact that I can confirm features about the game from watching a rando Youtube video or get impressions from someone who isn't paid makes your point moot.
