I uh. I just double dipped for the first time in my life. I had already preordered through Best Buy on the PS4 version for like, $35 forever ago, but last night I watched Max's newish footage with Spidey and Captain Marvel (that's the team I want to run so far!) and ughhhhhhhh so dope. So I preordered the game for PC as well on CDKeys.com because it's only like, 31 bucks there. Welp. I'm all in on this, I guess.

Nice! If I might have gotten a PS4 ver that low I might have double dipped as well. For now just going PC ver though and see if there's some kind of deal that includes all the Season 1 DLCs later down the road if I end up playing it a lot

Does Jedah still have all the blood and self mutilation stuff that he had on Darkstalkers 3, or have they toned him down?

I'm gonna use Arthur again, but I'm not sure who to pair him with. Jedah seems interesting for the fact that he's a newcomer who I actually like though. If Venom gets in, and it's Eddie Brock, I'll probably use him instead.

No they censored him.

They censored him about as well as I expected. He still has dismemberment but it's purple blood instead of red blood.

It's hard to ask for gushes of blood in a T rated game.

Does it really matter? His playstyle seems fully intact with a bunch of cool new moves and his animations are amazing. He was probably built with the leftover knowledge from the scrapped Darkstalkers are not Dead game, he seems super polished.

I wish they made his blood neon orange like in GGXrd, though. All that purple is a little hard to read.

The no decapitation thing is lame but I made peace with there being no character specific reactions to moves before Jedah was leaked. It would be too much work, especially with a 30+ roster in 3D.

I figured it was cheap enough to buy both and double dip properly, and I was interested in what the PC modding community could do. Plus like, I've been playing SFV on my PC and I've been preferring that way more than the PS4 version lately mostly because of the refresh rate of my monitor. It feels better for sure.

Also, I double dipped again today on Rez Infinite, but like, duh. Of course I'm going to get that.

GCU + Visa Checkout deal like, forever ago. Basically if you bought 100 dollars worth of stuff, including preorders, you'd get $25 off your purchase. So I'd preorder 2 games and get a $10 PSN store credit. Done.

I looked at a comic shop this morning and they didn't have any Venom variant covers. I did search ebay and there is a picture of a real one and yes it is the same as the preview.

I was hoping the preview version was just an incomplete version because the art is just so... bad. I thought that maybe it would look more finished and perhaps have a background.

The good news is that the Defenders cover does look great in person. It will be one of six covers I'm framing for my son's bedroom.

I'm pretty sure the ESRB treats cartoony violence differently. 2D or Pixel art seems to have more lax rules since the suspension of disbelief--by their standards--seems to be easier. When it's a 3D game, blood is automatically more "realistic". They may be able to get pass with a T rating, even with blood, but why would Capcom push the envelope and have them say it won't pass and have to go back and redo the work? They wouldn't.

I'm more concerned about getting the gameplay of Jedah right than some of the intricate animations from VS. I'll just go play VS for that.
