Looking at MvCI's YouTube views compared to Injustice 2's is actually pretty interesting. When I looked at the Marvel vs. Capcom channel vs. the Injustice channel, I noticed a few things...
- MvCI's story trailers get more views than Injustice 2's. The most recent story trailer for MvCI is currently sitting at 3.9 million views on their main page as of when this post was made (& I believe the original story trailer got over 5.5 million views), & it should hit 4 million by tomorrow (which will be 8/23/17 as of this post). Injustice 2's story trailers usually averaged out at around 1.5 million views, though Shattered Alliances Part 1 did go as low as 534k views.
- On the flip side, Injustice 2's character reveal trailers tend to net more than MvCI's. While Injustice 2's character reveals went as low as ~380k views (for the "Here Come the Girls" trailer) & as high as ~3.3 million views (Joker's reveal trailer). Overall, the Injustice 2 character trailers average out at around a million views, an average that holds up for the recent string of DLC characters. As for MvCI (Gameplay Trailer 5 aside due to how recently it came out), it went as high as 1.6 million views (for Gameplay Trailer 2) & as low as 34k (for the shorter version of Gameplay Trailer 1 that was shown at Capcom Cup 2016).
- That being said, Injustice has more subscribers on its page than the Marvel vs. Capcom YouTube page. The former has 217k subscribers, while the latter has 11k subscribers.
TL;DR: MvCI's trailers had higher highs & lower lows in terms of view count. Meanwhile, Injustice 2 is more consistent in its viewership, averaging out at around a million views for each of their videos. This could be attributed to Injustice's YouTube page having more subscribers than MvC's, thus adding to the former's consistency..
