Let's just think about it. Ryce's source was a poster here who didn't feel comfortable enough to post it himself, who overheard it from gossip attending a tournament.

the finished background is so dull compared to the concept art. I think the game just needs more saturation...
I know there's no sense acknowledging blatant bait like this but the last thing I'll say is that I wouldn't have told anyone anything if I wasn't extremely confident it was correct (and aside from 4-5 characters I wasn't told about and the function of the mind stone, it has been!). I'll also say that Ryce and I went back and forth on releasing the 28 characters we heard about but decided that ultimately leaks would be better for the community taking into account the long information droughts and the fact that most people would be disappointed by the news, and ultimately I still think tempering everyone's expectations to lessen the blow will probably end up being better for the game. Especially now that we know there are more characters! However it came about, this is one time that Capcom literally surpassed our expectations.
If anyone has any questions hit one of us up in private, I'm ready to move on and see what's up with this panel.

There's a gallery mode in the actual game, but I do also hope that we get a Vol. 2 of the MvC art book.

I for one am glad for the leaks. Since they really help put things in perspective. I can't imagine the backlash of people waiting for more females characters or more newcomers only to get slapped across the face when the game came out lacking both. I can't even imagine how much worse the launch would be jag they held things off.
Good to see you back Ryce, we can all see your passion for the series. It's also my favorite Capcom fighting game series.

Yep, the stage is really dark, it's like the complete opposite of the original Asgard stage from MvC3 in that regard. That's the drive for realism, I guess.
