Baddabing.

Yeah, given how Dorm/Firebrand/Ghost Rider/Jedah (and Morrigan) are probably all part of the Soul Gem section of the game's story, they probably won't be shown until the final stretch. But hey, that's probably going to be some time in August, so maybe sooner is better than later.

Interesting tidbit from the SDCC panel:

Is this the first explicit mention of Death being in the story mode? Not that there was much doubt but Death in the zip leak is probably.. Death.

I'm glad that it's the nail to the coffin for potential Capcom's Death. I meath we already knew that it's going to be Thanos' Death.

probably not until August 23 or so.

What, did people speculate it was going to be the bad guy of Capcom Fighting All Stars? What other "Death" does Capcom have?

Yeah, there are few people grasping the straws with the theory that it might be Death from Capcom Fighting All Stars. I just knew it's extremely unlikely since Thanos is there so Death have to be there too.

I mean, Thanos' K.O. quote has him screaming out "Death, my love!". It'd be silly to think that Death would be anyone but Marvel's, I think.

This is the final stretch, there's only so much time and we still don't have the full roster, final stone, DLC characters, other game modes, netplay. They're not dropping all that on the 23rd.

I definintely think we're gonna get another story trailer before gamescom if those comic variants are really coming out.

Watch the announced (with trailer) characters so far are the base roster, and everything else we thought was base was actually DLC. Yes, even Jedah.

Why showcase Jedah if he was DLC? If that were the case, why wasn't Sigma or Black Panther not showcased at this point?

It feels like these two points do contrast each other the more I think of it if Jedah really would be DLC.

Edit: Reply to Zero-ELEC: I know it's a joke. But it doesn't help if the joke makes you want to put out the flaws of why it doesn't make sense. Feel like Peter Griffin in the comedy club...

So Lego Marvel 2's developers straight-up confirmed at their SDCC panel that there won't be any X-Men or F4 characters in their game. I'm not sure if this excludes DLC, but if it does, I'm not sure if this is a good sign for MvCI DLC.

Even then, I'd appreciate this kind of honesty from Capcom. I get that they don't want to put Marvel on the hot seat (though Marvel kinda deserves it), but I feel like TT did it in a way that didn't necessarily demonize Marvel Entertainment.

It was too late for Lego to include those characters since they rarely do DLC for the game so it's not surprising. However their goal with MVCI is service game so it's likely we would see some Fox characters for this game.

How long has LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 been in development, you think? Did they sign off on the game before the alleged lessening of the "Fox ban"?

Maybe they were simply allowed to speak on it? Evans said he couldn't speak on the X-Men stuff, while Jay Ong (Marvel Games guy) also said he can't go into detail about not including X-Men in the game. If he isn't willing to say anything on the matter, I'm not surprised that Capcom can't.

A year and half to two years or so I guess. That's why it's a good thing that MVCI getting DLC development so they can make certain characters after the ban lifted.
