When they put Vergil back in Marvel Infinite and use some of the DMC4SE moves, then you guys will know where that come from before having knee jerk reactions like "THEY BUFFING VERGIL WITH NEW MOVES?? LUL CAPCOM!!!"

RE5 and 6 as well.

RE5 and 6 do have some really sick animations, actually

What's with people wanting mutiple Resident Evil reps? Leon vs Chris.. How exactly do you diversify that character. This is like asking for Ken when we have Ryu already to me.. only this isnt a SF game where the nuances are magnified. Playstyles in this game have a much wider range (or at least they did)

I can't believe I'm legitimately worried about Hunter and Venom not being on the base roster. It seems so ridiculous, but you never know with Capcom.

Nothing would surprise me anymore on this rollercoaster. Does seem weird to have Black Panther and Sigma announced so far out and still have so much of the roster to reveal.. unless there isnt that much more to show? Everything about this game has been one step forward and 2 back for me. Max's videos looked better and I was getting to a better place about this game. I still just cant stand Capcom

For RE. With the recent additions of focusing on melee moves. There's enough to diversify a few of them.

Jake Mueller especially would be a good MVC rep

I agree with this mindset. I'd prefer if we didn't have other RE reps that play like Chris. It's why I don't like Akuma in these games, he just feels like a waste of a slot since he's just Ryu, but better.

Helena is bae tho so that's why I wouldn't mind having her in...

I wonder how many people would be happy if we are going to get Helena as playable character over Leon and Ada?

I found her pretty boring personally, didn't really care for her story arc with her sister and her shotgun didn't feel like anything special. I think Jake or grown Sherry would be more interesting, since Jake had pretty cool hand to hand abilities and Sherry at least has the taser going for her. Leon had the double wingshooter and knife from RE6, and they can take a lot of stuff from RE4. Ada had the crossbow and a hook gun they could probably implement for her to use.

Easy, delete chris.

Leon is more about kicks and suplexes.

I wonder how much each DLC character will be.

I remember when Future Fight released Magneto a few weeks ago, I was interested in playing that game. And then I realized it takes like $60 dollars to buy him straight off the bat. MARVEL WHY?

I don't think capcom has done a fighting game in arcades in a while. They really should so we can better products in the end.

Is Capcom's "BROS B4 HOES" mentality strong enough to make them put a male Hunter instead of the incredibly more popular and iconic female Kirin Hunter?

More than likely. Since we're thinking that perhaps the lack of females might be related to some sort of parity from the marvel side.

I miss seeing fighting games in the Arcade.

Yes, I know it's not feasible compared to consoles, but I still miss it regardless.

Makes me wonder if the scene for Japan will improve when SFV has its Arcade version.

If you expect the Hunter to be anything but a fair skinned male prepare to be sorely disappointed.

As someone who doesn't play Monster Hunter, the Hunter that immediately comes to mind for me is a guy in Rathalos armor. That's probably the most iconic Hunter imagery to the casual gamer. I don't think I've ever seen a female Kirin Hunter before Googling it just now.

Kirin female looks dumb af. In a game about getting sick ass armor, you telling me that the one with the female in a belly shirt and skirt is the most popular?

Probably $5 or so. Without Fight Money, Capcom won't have to compensate in pricing for the DLC characters.

I wonder how far along they are with DLC characters as we speak.

I bet Sigma and Black Panther have been done for a while. I bet the next four DLC characters are mostly functioning. I bet they have assets and VA and animations done for the next couple of couple of characters. I bet they know exactly what characters are planned to be made, though probably not the exact order.

Speaking of VAs, I just realized something. If the voice acting was actually recorded at Marvel/Disney's studio, then MvCI may have indeed been struck by the VA strike.

I have a feeling that Sigma and Black Panther is like 75-80% done

Played some MVC3 online. Made me more excited for MVC:I though a bit bummed about the usual things we talk about in here (roster, graphics, etc).

I will say playing a bit more today. I wish super skrull and Taskmaster were here. Those are my outside characters that I like a lot. Though their return probably is null unless capcom is prely going for having every vet from 3 back (not mentioning capcom since I already made a list of posts on those peeps I want back.

Super-Skrull's omission is understandable, but I'm not too sure why Marvel axed Taskmaster.

the Kirin Hunter must be ubisoft iconic.
It's the exact opposite actually. A certain subset of the fan base worships it, while Capcom have been doing their best effort to ignore them.

In a game with mostly huge ass armors, about the only one that shows some skin is the most popular(in the fanart community at least), is that really a surprise?! ;p

That's good. I feel like I'll be excited once I'm actually busy playing MVCI and not overthinking Capcom's mind-boggling choices. I do feel annoyed whenever I think about the idea of Wesker, Ammy, Phoenix Wright, and many others not returning. I'll get over it eventually.

It's the opposite for me. I've seen the Kirin armor plenty, but I had to look up the Rathalos armor.

this.I have never seen anyone say that the iconic hunter is female.

what if the armor is made up of X-Men he has defeated and skinned since the convergence

x-men are more important to MvC:I than you guys ever thought SMH

I just want the game to be out. To play it and be done with it. Not "done with it" done with it, just done with all this pre-release bullshit.

But then again I have been in a "it is what it is" (or it will be what it will be) towards the game for ages, I just want to play it. Or watch people play it when im at work.

Hopefully Capcom takes the new comers from MVCi and put them into the eventual MVC3 update. Aka Ultra SFIV new comers from SFxTK.

Looking back at Maximilian's mockup roster I wonder

If Venom and Monster Hunter are not DLC (which would be awful) (and AntMan and Winter Soldier are indeed in the game too I suppose), would it really make much sense to put Black Panther and Sigma on a line with them (especially if 4 more characters will be released with them)? I think Capcom might just update the roster selection when the DLC characters are released.

So I made this mockup in paint really quickly (didn't even add images, just text) envisioning my best-case-scenario with the current roster select screen. I'm not exactly sure that there could be a top row under the letters and its the epitome of wishful thinking but, I think they could just BARELY fit there . I do have some theories about who would be revealed alongside Antman and Winter Soldier in this scenario but that gets more complicated (and is the reason why I started to look for more character spots and added four characters at the top, to keep certain things equal).

RA=Random All

It's not impossible, as it's happened before. When MVCi fails they can recoup the costs recycling the content. This also gets around the X-Men and FF ban.
The ban likely also prohibits developers from updating games that already have expired contracts from the original run. Marvel Heroes has an active contract, so there's that.

Another thing, SFIV was alive & well when SFxT dropped. UMvC3 is dying. What you're suggesting is the equivalent of porting SFV characters to USFIV.
