I don't know about you all but I have people asking about Firebrand daily. He's easily the most popular character on the roster. Even kids are wearing Firebrand T-Shirts and making the squawks he does in anticipation for his return.

What are you guys planning to use? Stick or PS4 pad?

Slowly migrating to a Fighting Commander, Xbox 360 Pad (Analog Stick User BTW) has been my go-to since DOA4. Changing from both a different platform/shape, as well as A-Stick to D-Pad has been interesting, but I'm glad I made the jump. Just hope the Commander will last me.

there's always hope friend... but probably not for awhile. Certainly not in the base roster (baffingly enough since you would think Iron Fist would be a shoe in), maybe in the season pass but doubtful.
 
I've actually been wanting to say that, at least from what we've seen so far, there seems to be more back and forth like a "normal" fghting game, and less touch of death combos in Infinite.

The combo rules also make them a lot shorter than in MvC3, not just less damaging. It's a good thing.

Would you say that interest in him is...extinct?
 
eh, the combos will probably take just as long as mvc3. it's just a matter of optimization.

give folks training mode with chars that don't die in 3-4 fierces and you'll see some shit.
i already know someone who had 60-80% thor combos at evo (80% if he started with jhp) for 1 bar because ultron-sigma is one of the few ways in the demo to practice combos

i'm p sure there will easily be TOD combos at well but i think across the board it'll be more in that 60-80% range with some specific second char setups doing that last 20% when scaling is fucked beyond belief
 
I was pretty sure I couldn't be impressed by an Mvc3 combo anymore but hot damn that was silly.

re:MvCI I think people will have a chance to play with shorter combos and counter switches. The setups are still gonna be pretty brutal but the switching will probably make it feel like you're playing a little more often.
 
again, lmao @ people thinking a delay would be a good idea and do the game any good PR-wise

Unless, you're Rockstar and co., it just gets you closer to the drain.



Problem there is that was announced, what, 3 years ago? On top of not ever really having a solid release date, just a lot of vague time frames, it finally gets a release date and is then delayed even though many saw it as the launch title for the XboX. A 6 month delay delay into March/April would do the game wonders.
 
Do we know if Capcom are going the same route as SFV making this a 'service' game? Thinking whether or not I should go digital on this or not.
 
It's definitely a different situation with Crackdown, they all are, but this game is in a worse one with even more negative reception to work off of or confirm that it's a "mess" like people are saying in that thread.
 
I hate the comparison to it but DBFZ just announced a party mode that allows 2 of your friends to join you and play online, each controller their own character. That's something I've always wanted from mvci and I hope it somehow makes its way down the line.

It would actually work really well with this game too, now that assists are gone. Being 2v2 means potentially less lag for games too.

Has there been any discussion on netcode yet?
 
MvCI is now the cheapest it's ever been on CDKeys at $28.79. The cheapskate in me is somewhat considering canceling my order and making a new one over 20 cents lol.

Reminds me of when I was building a PC and got a great deal on a Noctua cooler but (later that night) found the same one for like $6 less and honestly considered cancelling and buying that one.

MvC1 has that on Dreamcast (4p local though, not online - each player controls 1 character).

I just might get it on PC... The minimum requirements are pretty low aren't they?
 
These newly added characters bring the final roster at launch up to 30 characters, with more post launch characters to be revealed in the future.
Hunter and Venom are DLC. What a fucking joke.
