That Ghost Rider hyper has gaps in it. Auto block will not work there.

Yeah I was gonna say, some attacks may not keep you in block the whole time, like Sentinel Drones in 3 had those little gaps which let you fit even dirtier mix-ups in.

So as far as autoblock goes, are you auto blocking both high and low hits while you're in blockstun?

I used to always have trouble fighting against good Ghost Rider and Dormammu players in UMvC3. Probably because my team was more rush down oriented but I wonder if it will be difficult to get in on them in this game as well.

Is there anything you can do during block other than advancing guard and counter switch? In 3 you could Xfactor and blow an invincible super or snapback to get out of nasty mix-ups.

You can't do snapbacks on block. Snapback was only really useful for a character like Dante who had very slow normals (fastest normal was 8 frame) so he had to Snapback in between gaps.

I wonder if Counter Switch on block into invincible move will work.

Just managed to pick the PS4 version up for £30 on GameSeek with their ongoing cyclonic deal thing. I don't usually buy disk versions so was going to wait for a PSN sale but I couldn't say no for £30.

Looking forward to it now. :)

only left and right

I feel that if Capcom were going to put any effort into upgrading SF V they would have already done it with S II. Very few publishers other than Sony bothered to update old games for the pro.

Season 3 is rumored to be a bigger refresh, and they had a lot of other stuff to catch up on while season 1 was in progress, so they could have put it lower on the priority list until they hit the bigger refresh.

Didn't expect to see a teaser for this with Guardians of the Galaxy 2's release (nothing new though). Its kinda funny how the only Capcom character you see in it is X

Just noticed Infinite is the first game in the series that doesnt have Wolverine ;_;

Wolverine? That 90s nostalgia character? Good for them to finally move past no names and put in characters people know about like Firebrand.

That's how you know that the whole Fox situation is on Marvel Entertainment's hands. You can bet your ass that Capcom would have at least gotten Wolverine in if they could.

His function is in the game though

SIGMAZERKER BARRAGE

Yeah, it sucks. He's been in every one of Capcom's Marvel fighting games -- not just MvC, but all the way back to Marvel Super Heroes. He's essentially the poster boy for these games. I don't think it's hyperbolic to compare his absence to a Street Fighter without Ryu or a Smash Bros. without Mario. And it's all because of corporate politics.

Who's getting this day one and who's waiting? I'm in the waiting camp so far. Got 3 other games coming out in September I want.
I might wait for it to hit $30. It speaks volumes of Marvel and Capcom's collective incompetence that I'm even thinking about skipping a new MvC. I'm just not excited at all, and it's hard to justify spending extra money on characters like Sigma and Black Panther who should have been playable from the start.

no way was I going to pass on the cheap deal I got on cdkeys for a superhero game. Even one that looks a bit flawed right out of the gate like this did months ago pre-comic con

I'm just fucking around in the website. So better renders and icons if anyone wants to use them for anything.

I hate how Firebrand's skin looks. Basically anyone that doesn't anime skin looks real bad.

Also, why is the url for his assets under Firebrand? I thought he was Red Arremer in JP?

I've already pre-ordered on PS4 and PC. While stylistically it's not my favorite the gameplay does look incredibly fun and hype. It will feel fresh to have a new Marvel vs. Capcom game, I can't resist the day one personally.

Here's to hoping the day one patch and future updates improve the visuals and UI.
