As far as Inhumans, I'd be cool with Ms. Marvel (duh), Quake, Black Bolt, Medusa, & Moon Girl (w/ Devil Dinosaur). If they want an oddball Inhuman pick, maybe throw in Kid Kaiju.

Ironically, "safe Marvel" these days makes for some LONG overdue charcters in a Marvel game. And by that I mean, "safe" Marvel these days would be Black Panther (confirmed), or for example Vision correct?

Man, how the fuck did we never have those two in a MVC game before? Stupid 90s X-Men saturation :(

True, "safe Marvel" isn't without its benefits. But once you get through your safe choices (Black Panther, Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, Vision, Wolverine, Deadpool, Scarlet Witch, etc.), there's enough room for some oddballs.

Ant-Man getting scrapped from the base roster is unfortunate, but I hope he gets added later down the road. Or hell, maybe have Wasp replace Ant-Man.

It took until Marvel 3 just to get Thor and Dr.Strange
 
If all DLC was new characters and nobody else from 3 returned, would you be cool with that?

For example, Psylocke, Rogue, Cyclops over Wolverine, Storm, Magneto.

Lady over Vergil. Asura over Amaterasu, Gene over Joe, Leon over Wesker, etc.

Depends on what your goals are.

Game has auto combo and easy hyper combos to get your feet wet and doing cool stuff. That's easy to get into.

If you want to take it to the next level (ie. get competent, play against other competent players) then you will get obliterated. Though at the start everyone will be bad so you can join with everyone as they all learn the game.

I'd prefer that. I really think it's a waste of slots for returning characters in this case (unless they were free). It's not like SF where characters look and play differently to previous iterations.

No, not at all. At the bare minimum, Wesker, Vergil, Phoenix Wright, Amaterasu, Wolverine, Magneto, Deadpool, and Doctor Doom need to come back at some point.
 
I think one point is that Black Panther, for example, should have been on the main roster to give it more newcomer variety.

Put one of the returns as DLC.


Asking for X-Men is just y'all torturing yourselves at this point.

Let me be more specific, there's quite a few UMvC3 veterans that should return (namely Phoenix Wright, Vergil, Wesker, Wolverine, Deadpool, Doctor Doom if Capcom was able to seal the deal before Marvel doubled down on the F4 ban, Iron Fist, Amaterasu, Magneto, & Storm) who should return at some point. So no, I wouldn't want DLC to be exclusively characters who weren't in 3. I'd like a lot of non-UMvC3 characters, but I don't want said veterans to be left out. I'd also mention She-Hulk, but I'm not sure if she's a top priority for Marvel right now.
 
Because democracy worked so well for Fighting Game Weekly OTs, I went through all the threads to collect all the OT subtitle suggests that more than just the person who posted it though was a good idea. And one that I found that I liked when looking back.

i'd say if you wanna dick around with your friends it'd probably quite easy to pick up and play but might be frustrating if you wanna go online or play better people where you might lose to some shit that doesn't make immediate sense.

Agreed. The roster is the main reason I didn't want to pre order or buy it till a sale.

Also, the design of what we got has been beaten to death as shit. I mean even Spiderman is way too damn beefed up. Why?
