Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Announce Trailer - PC

6 months soon!

It's not really fair of Sony to do this..so basically two months after Pro launch you're going to have new 50 series graphics cards and spider man 2 with much higher raytracing effects etc than the ps5 pro patch showing off how good pc gaming looks.

I'm a bit dumb founded with what they are doing here.

What's worse. I'm going to make a wild guess....it's the free game with 50 series GPUs

This can't be true though, because many told me Nixxes had all their resources taken doing the Zero Dawn remaster. So fake, yeh, definitely fake /s (kinda)

It is not pointless, it's point is to get some extra revenue for Sony from the loyal fan base and screw 60 million standard PS5 users - they will now on many occasion be playing worse version of the game - probably most affected will be exclusives, as I cannot see 3rd party developers doing much with some of the hardware improvements of PS5Pro except brute forcing some stuff like higher res, and achieving better FPS stability, all because the target audience will be probably max 6mln for Pro after couple of years and probably 80+`mln for standard PS5 in the same timeframe. IMO. Sony shoot themselves in the foot with the old CPU in pro, but also understand why they have done it (lower cost, higher profit, less issues with porting to and from standard PS5).
 
One year .. all it took is one year to get the best version possible of the game depending on your hardware of course.

I no longer understand what Sony is doing . At least MS own windows so it's in its best interests to have their games on PC.

Sony own shit on PC. Yet they advertise a 700$ console … then release all their blockbuster games on a platform they don't own. Just for sake of quick short term profit while damaging the PlayStation hardware brand.

The reason people bought PlayStation over Xbox was the number of exclusive IPs they had over MS.

What are they doing now is basically telling you if you can wait just a little, You can have a better version of our games . With cheaper price too ( at least if u know where to look ), and guess what ? No upgrade fees and plenty of community mod that they can't even stop even if they wanted to.

Absolutely clowns. I am sorry I can't just find any better word to use.

As a PC gamer ? Day one

And it is not like all of these releases are taking PC by storm and selling millions of copies day 1. Even Helldivers 2 (which the most successful so far of all Sony ports is slowly dying on steam after 8 since it released). Worth adding it was also day 1 release on PC as well, so with Horizon Remaster there will be 2 day one releases this year, probably more in 2025.

But we know they do this, so why the anger now? We have known for ages that they port their new first party games 1yr+ after release on PS5 (basically when sales of the game on the PS5 have slowed to an almost halt (other than new PS5 owners buying the game for the first time obviously) you can then inject new sales by porting to PC, makes sense to me)

Edit: quick correction here, this is internally developed first party games, first party developed by a second party studio can have individual timescales based on the agreement between both parties, an example being Lego Horizon

I'm thinking with the recent PS account linking they might have data showing that the majority of players on PC don't game on PS5 at all, hence they feel more confident that PC releases are not impacting their console sales.

That's the reason why fans and hardcore gamers bought it, casuals don't care in most cases. Even without a single exclusive game would Sony have destroyed Microsoft. I don't think pc releases will harm the brand or affect console sales significantly. They want to grow users and with forced accounts for singleplayer games numbers will grow.
 
PS5 Pro sold out and shit shows that releasing games on PC doesn't affect anything. PS console fans will stick to consoles, even if Sony release their games day one or earlier on PC

15 months is still more than a year on my calendar.....
 
1 year later or 5 years later its a pass from me.

Massively overated the first game was, 7-8/10 tops.

As Superhero fantasy games go Arkham was better and years before.

More like 9 months soon. The game will only be 15 months old by the time it hits PC.
 
Hasn't PS5 Pro sold like hotcakes? It shows that releasing their games on PC wouldn't change a damn thing about their console market. Console gamers stick to consoles and PC gamers aren't gonna buy a PS5 for a bunch of exclusives. At least not a huge number of them. Sony seems to have the data otherwise the gap between releases wouldn't have shrunk.

It happens pretty much every time there is a PC port with many claiming 'day and date soon' yet some of these exact same people say they aren't interested in PlayStation anyway so it's rather bizarre. Well, unless they are Xbox fans just so they can say #sonytoo to prove some point or other.

Well Xbox fans are lost at this point:

They argue that physical sales don't matter as 91% of Xbox sales are digital and then they say the 2 TB Series X is better value than a PS5 Pro because it has a disc drive built in....

A disc drive they never use anyway....
