I know it's supposed to be part of the style and everything... but the low framerate on the animation is super distracting.
But I already had a lot of issues with the art style of the movie, between the low framerate and the awful chromatic aberration, it really wasn't for me, though the movie itself was cool.

As much as I want to play this game (because of how dire the launch line up for either console is), does anybody see an upgrade in the graphics compared to the first one? Assets load faster for sure but where are those long touted ray tracing reflections? Never mind that everything seems far from 4k in this spidersuit trailer. The framerate has already been discussed. Youtube compression?

not even the suit, you can have the suit on but still disable how it slows down, much like in the original game you could set different presets for the costumes with powers etc.

I am not a huge fan of Spider-Man but this movie image quality and hdr was fantastic.
A real showcase to demo HDR and 4K to non believers.

Yes, that's been added by Insomniac. You can disable it if you want.

The lighting and visual fidelity is insane. Also the interdimensional lighting on his suit from the Spiderverse makes this the first game I boot up on my PS5.

Insomnica's purchase by Sony looks like one of their most strategic moves.

Where did they say this? all I've seen is the interview. is there an article somewhere?
I assume the option they meant you could toggle is just for the charachter being rendered at lower fps, not for the shaders of the costume. Hope I'm wrong though.
