I never understood this complaint, like, these are standalone stories in the universe, they have no reason to tie in to the other stuff.

If anything, Punisher is the best possible argument that they should probably not even attempt to refer back to the films.

Right now I'm at episode 8 and everything is sooo much better than the first season. Pacing, character development, acting and action have been greatly improved. At this point I'm just bracing for the inevitable, crushing downward spin of Netflix Mahvel.

Called it. Probably no Daredevil Season 3 until after Defenders. Punisher will fill in between Iron Fist and Defenders probably, because it's easier to plot Punisher around the Defender crossover. 2017 is going to be an interesting year for Marvel Netflix.

2018: BP, Ant Man / Wasp, Infinity War I

ideally this would adapt a few max arcs to pad out that 13 episodes. because none of these shows have been able to really make use of the time and this would be the best way to do so finally.

or better yet just cut the episode order down.

Yeah, although to be fair the best part of Daredevil S2 was that it was 2 arcs basically (Punisher arc, Elektra arc), which was a little easier to swallow than the other shows doing a single 13 hour story arc which feels really stretched.
