Idk about Jean but Marvel needs an Iceman solo to attract the LGBTQ community. Right now it's just America and after what they did to Angela in the latest issue of GOTG Marvel is not looking good to the community.

This is where I'm thinking the direction for "Iceman" is going to go.
IvX was "changed halfway through?" To what? That event was always about returning the Xmen back to the status quo and getting rid of the roaming death cloud nonsense.

Changed between the last issues of DoX and the start of IvX. Hell, the "terrible things" Cyclops did is still referred to even when everyone knows Emma did Cyclops DoX stuff.

Angela's trans girlfriend is mentioned for the very first time by Bendis, Angela goes to check how she is and she has disappeared and it's like they never lived in the apartment. The fact Bendis already had Angela leave Sera and break up their happy ending for no reason before this was tolerated since he had claimed he would explain everything and she would show up in a later issue. Bendis claims it was due to editorial and that you'll need to read another book later to see what happens to Angela since he's finally off GotG after the next issue. People hoped the new book that had been teased for a reveal that day was a new Angela solo but it was just a Black Eyed Peas comic.

Hope went away quite some time ago, but both Jean and Rachel are in this. Rachel is older than her mom these days. Which I guess is kind of a Summers family tradition, originally pioneered by Cable (who is now a HELL of a lot older than his dad).

DoX wasn't an "event." it was self contained.
if you're talking about the overall narrative of the inhuman/xmen conflict- yes that obviously had a change in direction at some point, but it was long before IvX, and didn't effect any events or crossovers in progress.

Cancelled. The last issue effectively had the team disband and Magneto fake death and go into hiding.
Nothing Marvel does (with the possible exception of ASM and Deadpool) lasts more than 20-30 issues anymore. These books are all meant to be self contained arcs with defined jumping on and jumping off points.

I really don't like that approach but whatever, I'm glad they're seemingly putting some effort into the X-Men franchise again.

We have no idea. After he left DC's Earth-2 title and went to Marvel his quality took a dive. Think he did a Invaders book that came and went first.

Astonishing X-Men and Weapon X are my jam. The rest are whatever. Blue and Gold don't interest me conceptually and feel like rehashes; Jean and Bobby are just okay as characters on their own so I'm not compelled by a solo from either of them; Cable is cool, but I don't really care; and I keep forgetting Generation X is even a book.

Are both Icemen gay now? I remember when young Iceman was outed, but I thought original Iceman was still straight (which made little sense, of course)?
Come to think about it, having an Iceman solo when there are two of them seems awkward... did something happen to one of them?
Iceman solo is about present Iceman being comfortable with his sexuality and being a A tier mutant.

Didn't I just correct you regarding Wolverine's adamantium claws and Mr. Fantastic's skin? Don't dismiss me for simply being a Jean fan, as if that's all I know or care about in comics.
