The judge noted that the order banned church gatherings but not similar public activities like crowds at airports or industrial facilities, violating both the First Amendment and a state religious freedom law, the paper reported.

Churches must still practice other social distancing and health guidelines, including taking congregants' temperatures and sanitizing the building before a service and during in-person gatherings.

Holy shit, you mean when challenged some of these orders are unconstitutional? That's impossible!

If it's the first, that is much less than the US program for the unemployed - they are getting their regular unemployment plus an extra $2400 per month ($600 per week) plus one $1200 payment (which will likely be followed by others.

If you can get unemployment : Here in Florida we've paid out only 4% of claims.
I'm on day 28 of "Pending" and have friends that have been waiting longer.

I've just solved what happened at Puma Punku!

Another lead for the theory that corona is not that much more damaging, but a hundred time more infectious:

so it could be that we are seeing an illusion of sorts, the hospitals are not full of people because the virus is so much worse than influenza, but because it's a hundred times more infectious. Basically it's speed running a multi year influenza span in a matter of weeks. We see all the hospitalisations at once and using influenza mathematics we assume that it hasn't yet infected most people, so a big wave is coming.

The current anti-body stats are flawed somewhat due to the bias of the population these studies surveyed, pretty much like all 2016 poll predicting a Clinton win.

Based on the description, the testers are NOT randomly to cover all spectrum, rather are volunteer who suspected they might have SARS-Cov-2. The same thing applies to the Stanford study on the Santa Clara county anti-body percentage. Pretty much like the poll results where responders are at least moderately into politics and highly likely watching mainstream media.

This is what happened when a region is controlled by Democrat for a too long time, so with abundance of low-wit and low-income illegal immigrants as a by-product (The LA county has to protect illegals otherwise the black gangs will take advantages of them). These people are too stupid to realize "Freedom is not free" from the Kantian point of view.

In Orange county, knowingly a long-term Republican controlled area with majority of population being high-income white people, the cities and county officials had made wearing face cover mandatory for a while now. Even though the malls are still closed, many public places are still open.

In the city I lived (Irvine) with Republican mayors for decades, people here showing great self-restraint (wearing masks to protect others and social-distancing) so that many activities can still be carried in public places. Irvine company has set up a program to delay the rent payments for small businesses by 6 months (Irvine company literally owns the city).

If only people in these Democrat controlled areas realize violating "social distancing" and shouting "muh-freedom" is not really freedom, just slaves of your own low-witted desire. Great to see in my neighborhood, people suspend their desire, to achieve freedom. Practicing freedom cannot coincide with the oppression of one's ability to reason, where the oppressor is desire.

Argh, this is almost as bad as that time the British police released black dye into a beautiful blue lagoon to deter swimmers and hikers:

5e8308d0487c2227f471fb63
But it was necessary because this was chernobyl: the lake, and the blue hue was due to the chemical shit and people went there to swim.

You saying that you're much more worried about your family than yourself really speaks to me.

Yesterday at the care home where I work more staff members tested positive. I was okay during work, but then I had to go home to my mother - was I or was I not taking the virus home to mom? Each day, since the outbreak began, I've had to live with this fear. It's just... crippling.

On top of it all my mom fell down the steps yesterday and broke her hip (sorry for repeating myself here). Today she's in bed, and I have to nurse her, but I also have to go to work. Unfortunately, she's much worse today. She now says her knees and her ribs are hurting. All they gave me yesterday were morphine tablets. 4 of them.

The anxiety I'm experiencing right now is through the roof. All I can say, NinjaMouse, is that you being worried about your family, and not so much about yourself, truly warms my heart. I can draw strength from that. I'm actually glad you are anxious because it tells me how much you care.

Unfortunately, we're all just going to have to live with this for quite a while... and just hope and hope and hope that somehow we get through this and make it to the other side and see the sun again.

Take care of your family, NinjaMouse. I believe you'll make it.

Honestly, I didn't even think so much about it, it was just kinda stream of thought...but I genuinely appreciate it. We live in an outerborough of NYC, and really considered bugging out of here to stay with family down south to get away from the high population density weeks ago, but didn't because we didn't want to risk being vectors for carrying something to elder family that would be considered higher risk. My heart legitimately goes out to you in your current situation. I can only believe that you'll pull through it and get the medical assistance your mom needs. If anything, the current time is a great reason to stay home and rest physical ailments. You be strong and post here as you need. This is a good group of folks, with plenty of strong e-shoulders to lean on. I know it's not much than text on a screen, but I'm truly a believer in and champion for the power of positive thinking.

The handshake is not fucking dead. Once this shit settles down I'm gonna handshake people like I'm Jorah shaking Sam's hand. I'm gonna double hand that fucker.

Microsoft patent 060606. NPCs be like "Fuck you Mr. T. F. Hat! It's just a patent for a new mouse. Money made Bill Gates extra lovingly kind, money does that to people! Take the vaccine you selfish individual! Trust in Gates!"

Our education minister said universities that remain open during the pandemic will be rewarded.

Can any non brazillian gaffer adopt me? PLEASE?

Don't say this without any context. This measure is correct. Brazilian universities are completely closed, not even online classes are happening. Some have already decided that classes will only resume in January imagine the harm for a country that delays education for a whole year. Online classes are possible.

I still do a handshake but I try to be as awkward as possible and do it at offset angle to the person I am shaking hands with. Totally in the air. It's super bad and I love it

So Gove was on the Andrew Marr show this morning talking up the NHS Covid tracking app. Thanks but no thanks I'm not downloading a Government app that tracks movements and reports my well being. They'll use that data in other unscrupulous ways my worry is that they make it a requirement to have the app to leave lockdown and that the majority of the public will be willingly accept that type monitoring and control.

Big dick Sweden continuing their non-lockdown/herd immunity policy:

Sweden's infectious diseases chief has said parts of the country could achieve "herd immunity" as early as next month as debate rages over the rising death toll.

Anders Tegnell, the state epidemiologist who has been the figurehead of Sweden's strategy, said: "We're still at the level we were at a couple of weeks ago. There was some kind of peak before the Easter weekend, and now there's some kind of downturn." Later that evening he told Norwegian TV's leading weekly debate programme that the models run by his colleagues at the Public Health Agency of Sweden indicated that the population in Stockholm, the centre of Sweden's epidemic, could achieve herd immunity as early as next month.
"According to our modellers, we are starting to see so many immune people in the population in Stockholm that it is starting to have an effect on the spread of the infection," he said.
"Our models point to some time in May," he added, when asked about herd immunity in the capital. "These are mathematical models, they're only as good as the data we put into them. We will see if they are right."

Lena Einhorn, the virologist who is one of the few public critics of Sweden's strategy, told the Sunday Telegraph she was incredulous that Dr Tegnell could present this week's dismal figures as good news. "In Finland on Thursday the cumulative number was 13 dead per million inhabitants, in Sweden it was 130 per million inhabitants. Finland: 75 dead, Norway: 152 dead, Sweden: 1,333 dead," she said. "And yet Anders Tegnell is saying 'we are feeling very hopeful'. What are they hopeful about?".

It's interesting to see how people in other countries are reacting to Sweden's policy. In theory, the American right should be very supportive of Sweden's more libertarian approach, but they can't quite bring themselves to praise "democratic socialist" Sweden. On the other hand, the UK left, who are normally full of praise for "democratic socialist" Sweden, can't exactly support them this time seeing as the government there is following the kind of "herd immunity" policy that lead to the left calling Boris Johnson "Boris the butcher" just a few weeks back. Sweden is confusing everybody!

I mean...

I'm not sure if you mean she's hot or what. But a phrase I heard for the mask recently was "Orwellian Burka". Also, her protest poster is spot on. Bill Gates can shove his NWO vaccine in all the millennial NPCs who just want to stare at Facebook and do what the government tell them. We need rebels like never before, before it's too late.

Humans have chipped and enslaved animals. There's no reason it can't happen to us.

My guess is that Boris was shown some projections of infection rate and the point where the NHS collapses and did a 180 on the herd immunity approach. Sweden's approach is interesting and I am hoping it works because the U.K. could follow something similar in wave 2.

No I commented on the insane stupidity. And she looks like "white trash" piercings and shit, I don't think she is hot at all. So I posted it because of that sign.

Why exactly you need rebels? This virus simply does not give a fuck about politics, it's deadly and this sort of behavior ensure, that this plague is going to take way longer. As we've seen that "herd immunity" bullshit really does not work.

And it's pretty shameful, how America "gratest country in the world" has so many people living from paycheck to paycheck and when some catastrophe strikes they are fucked, many third world countries handle this better. And besides, that corporate socialism is full on embarrassment. "Free market" for people, "socialism" for companies.

People die for their beliefs. If you don't die for your belief, you've died for nothing. I support people like her on her spiritual quest to find sanity and reason. She's standing up for something she believes in to the point of physical danger. It's her choice not yours, not mine, not the majority's. That's my reasoning and I won't change that. She's a political prisoner, a problem for society, "get rid of her".

That's brutal. In canada you apply and two days later you've got money in your account. I hope things get worked out for you quick!

You have a persecution complex. It's not about "suggesting", it's a simple matter of looking up the numbers.

It's not a persecution complex. It happened in this thread. I pointed out how NYC was doing that with evidence backing it up and was told I don't know what I was talking about.

It seems that the herd immunity model is the way to go, if you have a health service to cope with the surge in cases. From what I understand, while some areas of the UK are underutilising ICU beds, London is struggling in some areas, and still having to make decisions on ventilators. I think everyone agrees that it would have been best to put only the vulnerable on lockdown and have the rest of society function as normal, if we could have coped with the strain on the NHS, and also whether Johnson could have coped with the rise in cases politically.

I read this in a screaming Alex Jones voice.

Face protection (mask, scarf etc.) is mandatory in Poland since yesterday, so if Police sees you without it you're going to pay. The best part is that health minister said that's going to be like that until vaccine is ready, fuck me... :pie_eyeroll: I'm going to look like my avatar

About vaccines and stuff:

My colleagues in Bydgoszcz said if the police see you without a mask, they just give you one.

I think London's biggest issue (and is the rest of the UK) is the issue of PPE. Beds seem to be OK (the Nightingale hospital at Excel has few patients in it).

Incidentally, interesting to see the herd immunity model looking like a good option. The UK government was slaughtered by everyone for suggesting such a thing a month ago...

Does that include the deaths that NYC "think" were caused by COVID without evidence?
Nearly 13,000 New Yorkers in all have died since the state's first coronavirus case was reported March 1, the governor said. The state total doesn't include more than 4,000 New York City deaths that were blamed on the virus on death certificates but weren't confirmed by a lab test.

So that is 13k deaths confirmed with coronavirus. Still 3x more than the typical deaths in a flu season, with lockdowns/significant social distancing, and it is going to keep going higher. But yeah it's just the same as the flu.

Sweden pop os what 10 million ?

Even if herd immunity backfired and everyone was infected its probably less deaths then USA just because of population size.

If it works out for them good but its not a one size fits all solution.
