The gaming press learned a new word and have to jam it into every situation.
Don't forget mass effect fans who didn't like the ending are "entitled"
Also how did the stupid notion of being entitled even sink into the mass effect discussion to being with?
The word was heavily used to characterize anyone who critiqued the ME3 ending.
My friend finished the game at 7AM, high has fuck. He couldn't understand what was happening. He got to bed. Woke up this morning " dude, I dream about the worst ending possible to ME3 ! but now I try to load my game and it says I completed the game, I'm getting nervous, what part was dream what part was the game ? "
And he's still not recovering

Probably because of the Take Back Mass Effect initiative.
Fuck the press. "Gaming journalism" at its finest. Anyjournalisthack that sat through that ending and can call the fans entitled are people who shouldn't have a fucking job in the industry because they shouldn't be taken seriously at all.
I seriously doubt most of the people who attacked the fan backlash had actually completed the game themselves/played through the trilogy. Which to be honest, is even WORSE than if they actually had finished ME3.
You even saw it happen here, some in this very thread (or OT1), where they think we were overreacting and called us entitled and wrong and other things. Then they finished the game.

EatChildren was like this right after he finished the game.
He came around, eventually.
Didn't stop him from playing Batarian Captain Falcon in multiplayer though.
15 Melee Kills?
Crazy sauce.
Some legitimately do like the ending though and think everyone's overreacting. And honestly, I do think it's really not worth much more outrage than "come on, really, that's how you end it?" before moving on to forget about ME. Hell, I only even looked here again because of the bumped thread in the general board. You even saw it happen here, some in this very thread (or OT1), where they think we were overreacting and called us entitled and wrong and other things. Yeah, I should've gone on to say that as well. In particular I like how Jessica Chobot, the worthless "journalist" she is criticized fans/gamers and called them entitled when she didn't even beat the game herself.
I think the outrage stems from the schism between most of the game, the potential of the series, and what they ended it on.Some legitimately do like the ending though and think everyone's overreacting. i regret nothing.
we'll bang ok?

The fans may have overreacted, but the worse overreaction was from the press. It's not like people were sending Bioware death threats or anything. They simply organized themselves and sent Bioware some cupcakes. Cupcakes. That's it. Most of the movement was fairly civil.
This I'll agree with, and as I've said before, as someone who is press I found it tremendously embarrassing. Folk like Jim Sterling proved you can completely disregard critical and logical thinking, launch into an all out attack and dismal against a huge group of people who did nothing inherently wrong, and get paid for it.
You should watch the DLC character's scenes on YouTube, he's a great addition to the series and more conversive than characters that shipped with the game.
Thanks for the tip. He doesn't pull any midoclorian shit does he? Blow some of the Prothean mystique to pieces?
So I finished the game today and feel like I have wasted far too many hours doing this that are completely inconsequential. The ending just seems to completely ignore the rest of the game, actually no, the rest of the 3 games.
How did they think it was ok to make so much of the games so completely pointless? I kept doing side missions and mini-quests assuming it would make the ending different but from what I can tell it makes fuck all difference.
I can see why people are pissed off about it, for a series which prides itself on choices the consequences of those choices have ultimately boiled down to nothing.

We'll get to OT3 eventually, my friend. Then wellbangok? The cycle is still going. That's pretty messed up.
Check the massdefect tumblr.Finding it hard to discern if this is sarcasm or not...
Either way, BioWare themselves are entitled to a better ending than that.
Also, just read all of the Marauder Shields comics, they're actually rather intense and how I would have much preferred it to go down.
The indoctrination theory is starting to make sense but that doesn't make the ending any better unfortunately.
Bioware pulled a very huge dick move and fucked over the fanbase by having him as DLC.
