Mass shooting at Brown campus & MIT physicist murdered [update: shooter down]

Strange how all of these events end in the suspect "committing suicide" so we'll never know what actually happened

Brown is going to get away with everything they covered up as usual, including the mysteriously not working cameras anywhere, the police not questioning anybody, the scrubbing of their website, it's all going to just be forgotten soon

Even when they get captured alive we never hear nothing. Charlie Kirk guy, those idaho student murders, hopefully we'll get something at trial but giving a motive isn't really the best defense :P

Providence Police have confirmed the identity of the Brown University shooting suspect.

Claudio Neves Valenti, 48 years old, a Portuguese national and Brown University student. His last known address was in Miami, Florida.

He was NOT a U.S. citizen.

Valenti was found dead inside a New Hampshire storage facility from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Four senior law enforcement officials said he may have been dead for some time.

He is believed responsible for:

The Brown University mass shooting Saturday that killed 2 students and wounded 9

The murder of MIT professor Nuno Loureiro at his Brookline home Monday

The victims:

Brown University: Ella Cook, 19, sophomore from Alabama. Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov, 18, Uzbek American freshman.

MIT: Professor Nuno Loureiro, 47, Portuguese-born director of MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center.

Both Valenti and Professor Loureiro were Portuguese nationals.

The motive remains unclear.

where did this pic come from? The Brown campus?

Very curious if he was in that economics class and the students/teacher knew all along it was him and this whole "we got no cameras" and "remove odd gay palestinian activitst" thing was just a ruse.
I don't know the location, wasn't being reported with the images.

They were probably just trying to prevent an innocent student from being harassed.

Then a simple "that student has no connection to this, we are moving on" would have sufficed versus this "that's a dangerous road" nonsense.
It is a dangerous road. After the Boston bombing someone committed suicide due to thousands on the internet proclaiming him the perpetrator and hounding him. Online cyber sleuths don't contribute much and should be discouraged from targeting people online.

Saying "that student has no connection" i.e. acknowledging his existence and that they looked into it (if the perp was truly unknown then they should, right?). Being ambiguous and dancing around a direct response is the dangerous road. Was that gay palestinian even a real person?

Case was still open, maybe they didn't want to make that statement at that time. I think you're reading too much into a simple statement that it's a dangerous road for people online to do stuff like this.

He was, since he was on the Brown University website before that site was scrubbed. The Brown President denied that the website was carefully cleaned out of all pro-Palestinian advocacy despite it being completely obvious to anyone with access to the Internet Wayback Machine

Side note, given how fucked the entire thing was. Ima need to see the popo and fbi bring out their board with the strings on it and walk us through HOW they know this is the guy.

Did I hear correctly that a Brown representative said they don't have records for the suspect at Brown for the suspect? Curious because my university has my grades for download and that was over 30 years ago. ( basically wondering if he got kicked out and has held a grudge over it for all these years)

They do that and the Internet morons will just start looking for a new 'suspect'. You don't give power to these people by answering their wild claims.
