The premise of San Andreas is the usual shit we've often seen. If I ever see it (most likely Netflix), it's because of The Rock. He's the sole reason I've watched almost ever other movie he's been in, Pain & Gain, GI Joe, Snitch, etc.. He's a big reason to watch the Furious movies now, too.

It has Alexandra Daddario, that seems a good reason to watch it.

Rock's movie is at a solid 30% on Rotten Tomatoes. I bet it breaks even at least.

The Rock ain't the draw people think he is. Unless you put him in something people already want to see, like another Fast and Furious film or a G.I. Joe sequel, your best hope is a modest gross like 57 million WW for Snitch or 35 million WW for Faster. Hell, even Hercules only did 243 million WW on a 100 million production budget (so not including marketing).

San Andreas will live or die by how it does in the rest of the world. Disaster films typically do big money, but I doubt Rock's star power outside western markets. This one is especially reviewing poorly, not shocking either considering the director (who will soon have his WWE Studios movie released starring Mark Henry).
