IIRC wasn't Womens Championship simply retired and then the Divas Title replaced it? I'm pretty sure the Divas Title didn't inherit the Women's Title lineage, which is why AJ Lee can have the longest title reign now. But I would be 100% okay with the Divas Title being retired and the Womens Title coming back.

That being said, I don't like that they've given him character traits that suit Dean Ambrose's face character best. The whole lone wolf, one versus all, coming from out of nowhere, smiles bloodily when he gets his rear kicked... I feel like they all fit Dean's Lunatic character a lot more.

I also don't like that he seems to constantly need Roman Reigns' help in this EC build-up. Objectively, if you look at what's portrayed on the storyline, Dean would NOT have his title opportunity at EC if Roman hadn't helped him time and time again.

While friendship is great, and SHIELD reunion nods are great (even if premature), this doesn't feel like a two-way street. Reigns would never NEED Ambrose's help, in fact in his WM build-up he was portrayed exactly like a lone wolf type.
But it looks like the writers/bookers/Vince feel like 1) Dean Ambrose is not believable in that role, he couldn't stand up to the authority and get out on top by himself and 2) Roman Reigns needs to stay popular and relevant in the main event while we figure out what to do with him next. (note that Randy has been off tv since Payback)

So in the end, I sort of resent that Dean Ambrose is being anchored down by being dependent on Roman Reigns' help. Dean has been the most entertaining he's been in ages (ever since bizarre hologram/exploding monitor losses and THE STREAK of PPV losses have hurt the character's credibility). I really feel like he could be almost Stone Cold-ish if only he'd be allowed to go alone against the Authority and still, somehow come out on top.

I mean in Raw when he came out with the Cop suit and the batons you could justifiably have him go over the Authority for one segment: he had the element of surprise! He had equalizers!

Anyway, looking forward to another chapter in Rollins/Ambrose and hopefully (eventually) the WWEWHC Shield triple threat we all want.

Aren't they just trying to salvage Reigns character by associating him with the most over face they've still got?

I did not know it was retired. I agree that the Women's title should come back. After that interview, the NXT women wrestlers should expect it to be that way when they go into Raw.

That subreddit is one of the most sad things I've ever seen not the internet. Yet it's oddly entertaining to see some people get super mad and make fun of what is happening in another forum.

And this just goes to show we are better off without Stroboro here.

That would be an awesome way to debut Charlotte. Have her win the title and then trash it and replace it with the Women's title.

Do people even "hate" Reigns anymore? I feel like no one really cares anymore. People were just upset because they didn't want him to main event WM and wanted Bryan instead (and look at how that turned out).

I didn't "hate" him because of Bryan. It's more than Reigns just does nothing for me. I have no investment in him. So yeah, I guess I would still hate him to use that term.

I think he's gotten way better. That WM push was awful, but given more relaxed material he's just fine.

Roman has noticeably improved since Mania and I actually don't mind him anymore. Most of the apathy towards him was simply because Roman was green as hell and was getting pushed way too soon

Honestly, WWE missed a potentially golden chance to really turn Roman into something. Have Bryan go to Mania to face Lesnar at WM31, have Lesnar destroy Bryan like Lesnar destroyed Cena, have Lesnar rule until WM32 and then have Roman be the one to take him down.

Seth Rollins has moved on to be the architect, Dean Ambrose has moved on to be the lunatic....both have had new attire and music.

Roman Reigns seems stuck in Shield mode.....like he hasn't found who he is yet.

In reality, Charlotte is going to get rolled up by Brie in a 3 minute match. For real though, renaming the Divas title isn't going to change anything.

This is one of those rare occasions where we can agree. The women in NXT get builds, time and their matches booked by Del Rey, which is a huge factor in them appearing more skilled than women on the main roster.

Except Dana Brooks, she shouldn't have been in a TV role yet, barely above Rosa Mendes at this point.

I'd like to know what Roman's merch sales are like. I imagine they are higher simply because of the fact that Roman gets new merch at a Cena-like rate now, but I'd like to know if he's even the #2 merch seller yet.

It wouldn't solve the problem by itself but it's a step that should be taken if they want the division to be viable.

The first step is to obviously book it properly. Unfortunately that problem isn't exclusive to the women since everyone below main-event status gets a lot of shit thrown at them.

The NXT women can talk about women's wrestling and all of that, but what's important for their careers is how they'll translate as Total Divas cast members.

Oh, you see I had no idea when TNA was broadcasted. I just assumed ROH was replacing it, if not then this is really interesting and I sort of hope there's TNA Wed and ROH Friday - if only to get more wrestling on TV.

I bet they spin it into thinking that Destination America loves wrestling so much they wanted to pair TNA and ROH and there's gonna be an invasion angle on TNA and cross-promotion matches too. :D

Its weird on DA they have impact listed at 9pm on June 3rd. So it seems they are running 3 hours of wrestling on Wed until they dump TNA in Sept it seems.
