Not really, since sodium isn't bad for you
Uh, kids are growing. They have high BMRs. They can probably handle a trip to McDonalds better than you can.Sorry guys, I truly believe anything more than once a month is gross, especially for kids. I don't mind being alone on that if need be.![]()
Do they have this in us and a?

The biggest problem with Mickey D (among others) isn't the calories, it's the sky high levels of sodium.

Anything? So like, one glass of water once a month - only?
It's the targeted advertising that bothers me, actually.
Whoops, sorry. Fixed. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.
No, it's the high fructose corn syrup.
Coudreaut noted that the average McDonalds customer eats at the fast food restaurant roughly three times each month. He questioned what was happening with the other 87 meals.

I feel that if we were to close our doors of all of the McDonalds tomorrow, the obesity problem would not go away, he said.

I haven't drinked soda in years so I tend to forget it even exists. I'm guilty of the occasional trip to fast food restaurants as the next guy, but I always get a bottle of water with my burger and fries.
You're right though. That stuff is more or less poison.

I haven't seen ads for kids in forever. Gone are the days of Ronald, the Hamburgler, etc...
"Ronald McDonald is an ambassador to McDonald's, and he is an ambassador for good," Skinner said. "Ronald McDonald isn't going anywhere."
McDonald's spent about $115 million advertising Happy Meals during 2010, about 13 percent of the company's $884 million in measured U.S. media spending, according to Kantar Media.
One commercial in the new series features Ferris, a little boy living on a farm with a pet goat that is an indiscriminate eater.. Rather than put the goat out to pasture, the boy and his father teach the wayward animal the importance of a balanced diet, particularly dairy and fruit.
Ferris and the goat are enjoying Happy Meals, with fries and apple slices, at the Golden Arches at the end of the commercial, illustrating the concept of balanced eating.
The message: "Joy is a gift. This is the box that it comes in."
that info is a little different than what's on mcd's site, weird.A Big Mac:

Saying there's nothing unhealthy on the menu is a reach to be generous (I get where he was going with it though) but pretty much everything else he said is spot on. McDonalds isn't out to make the world a worse place, they want to make money. They'll stop supplying shit food as soon as people stop demanding it.
Fuck yeah. McDonald's is just like The French Laundry.
Awesome.
I like the occasional McDouble with Mac sauce instead of ketchup and mustard.
On my planet that's health food. So what?
echoshifting really got it for McDonalds huh?
They do have them on Nick still but they are devoid of food. There is value in Ronald McDonald himself apparently.I haven't seen ads for kids in forever. Gone are the days of Ronald, the Hamburgler, etc...
I tried that after reading the last McDonalds thread on here. They made it for me, but charged extra for the mac sauce. WTF
Improving as in offering healthy options alongside their traditional items? I didn't mean to imply they only sold junk food, I know when people started asking for healthier food options they were one of the biggest to ride that wave. I'm not a big McDonald's eater though and I don't want to mischaracterize their menu. They are actually improving on the nutritional contents of their food even despite the massive demand for "junk food".
once a week is like putting your children into a concentration camp someone arrest this man

Ah, that's interesting, thanks for the heads up.Improving as in actually improving all their items.
Just look at the move from shitty cooking oils to good ones a couple of years ago, the abandonment of lard for fries, and much more.
It's healthier than A LOT of fast food places.
It doesn't deserve the bad rap it gets.
