What was up with all those reports last week about Blue Dragon on the Xbox360 selling out? Apparently the game isn't even out yet...

[Pokemon D/P]'ll probably hold strong and start to increase as we approach Christmas and especially the new year.
I'll be waiting to see if Pokemon D/P does something comparable to the 597,000 DS week in 2005. I doubt it, but then nothing's out of the realm of possibility with DS ever since that week.

Charts are getting kind of boring. PS3 and Wii need to come out already.
I think the arrival of the Wii will make complete the boredom. I guess it will be sort of exciting for some to try to guess whether WII or NDS will win the top 10, but it will mostly be more of the same.

You almost sound... defeated when you say that. What, do you own a PSP or something?

... sorry, that was a low blow, I apologize.

How does Pokemon Diamond/Pearl stack up to the others now? Someone made a kickass chart of this awhile ago

2.562M after four weeks for DP. 2.374 for RS. 2.618 for GS.

So GS is now ahead in a similar timeframe, thanks to its released in the 1999 holiday season. I expect DP to drop off even more over the next few weeks until its selling like 150K a week combined. The Christmas will come and we may see boosts back into the 300K or so range. If the legs of games like NSMB and Mario Kart DS are any indication then Nintendo should have no problem selling another 1.5 Million units in 2007, if not more. DP started out the best, but will slowdown faster but stay around longer.

I think Xmas holidays will boost sales dramatically, and also the Wii Pokemon game may tempt others to buy it too?
Maybe Nintendo will do an ultimate Pokemon package, DSlite/Wii and 3 pokemon games?

Seems like Tamagotchi 2 is hanging on well enough for now, and could well receive a nice boost come Christmas time and the release of the Wii party version.

I see what you did there

By the way, any of you guys played the European version of English Training? It's brilliant! Very cheesy, though...The theme tune is a woman singing 'Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers' :lol

Very impressed with it so far, though.

Business as usual. I'm eager to see if the AC anime movie will make AC sales take off to a new level, similar to what the original Pokemon anime did to Pokemon RGB.

What is this?

it is an awesome soccer anime :D

I used to watch the show when I was young and it was dubbed in Arabic. The name of the show was "Captain Majid"

but my favorite soccer show is "Moero! Top Striker"

One Question about the sales of Pokemon Blue/Red/Green.

Famitsu Data from The Magic Box:
1996 - 1,663,861
1997 - 3,995,988
1998 - 1,739,391
1999 - 334,949
------------------
about 8,000,000 - so why 10,200,000?!?

Ah, the hyperbole troll tactic. Haven't seen that in at least a couple hours, jett. Good show!

If you do a little research on older topics speaking of FFIII, you will see some of folks claiming It could even surpassed the sales of the original (1.4m, I guess). I think It will break the million barrier though, which is still supremely impressive.

And if Square-Enix had shipped enough it would have passed the original by now, no doubt.

What it's selling now though is already impressive.

At the risk of mentioning the unmentionable in a MC thread, the numbers for the Pokechart are from VGCharts. If anyone has another set of numbers & can make a good case for swapping them in for ioi's counts, I'd be delighted to redo the chart.

FF3 will make a million easy with the holidays coming.

Pokemans is doing awesome, and I'm scared to see what will happen come the holidays.

The following graph is based on Famitsu data for the best selling DS games. Can you identify the games without looking at the labels? :)

hmm... I'm trying to remember - how did your last major DS software prediction go?

Well my only prediction RE: FFIII DS was that it won't outsell FFXII, which some of your n-crew claimed would happen since DS is hotter than PS2 and FFIII was the rebirth of FF sales after declining FFXII sales because "people wanted the old style back". :lol

Very few people claimed it will outsell FFXII... come on, you know that Bebpo.
