The question is: for how many consecutive weeks starting next week will NSMB Wii be the number 1 seller?

that depends if Zelda beats out NSMB Wii next week, which I expect it won't.

You guys really don't see at least another 300k for MH3 if they release it on the PS3 in Japan? It is MH, would people rebuy MH games on multiple platforms like they do RE games?

Personally I don't think an up-port would be worth it for Capcom unless they just do a straight port and they manage to crank out another 300k, if they do a proper PS3 port it would cost them too much money.

I think it

yeah and they could include nathan drake as a playable character too!!!

Until the week of KH: Birth By Sleep which is the 1/4-1/10 reporting period.

So one of the biggest weeks of the year in terms of total software and hardware and we might not get a single leak?

And it charted pretty high on the UK charts after one day of sales, no.5 X360 and no.9 PS3.
Chart track week ending 23 may, game released on 22 may.
That's two days, which pretty much all games that are released in the UK have in their first week. Note that only the 360 version made the overall top 40 (#19 first week, then #24 and then out) and since the UK market is roughly the size of Japan's market you know that those positions in the middle of the summer don't amount to much.

This 300k threshold is suspicious... >_>

Two weeks ago we had to wait another one and a half hour for the sinobi leak. Not all hope is lost yet!

Sorry guys, just got off the phone with Santa. He said he double checked the naughty and nice lists, and sales-age is DEFINITELY on the naughty list. No more leaks. :(

It's the annual sales-age gift, it has been happening since 2003 with the dissapearing of full Dengeki numbers and Shrine of data. Remember Yahoo daily sales? full NPD? They also dissapeared in december

Ok, I'll ask it.

Is it a joke ? Sarcasm ? The blatant truth ?

That's because gradually people don't believe in them anymore, so they disappear year by year, one after another... :°

Am I reading this right?

More than 1 million pieces of DLC for Idolmaster SP have been downloaded since launch (February 19th)

Wow :lol

How many of them are free?

The game has lots and lots of DLC, so this isn't entirely surprising, since they did sell over 100k of the game. All you need is 50k of the userbase each downloading 20 pieces of DLC each, including free ones, and you have 1 million.

Not as impressive as I thought then

In the absence of a leak, is this going to become a port fantasy thread? Because I have a few. Well, maybe one.

Congrats, schuelma [posted from work]

It's totally a job where you can spend 90% of the workday on GAF, right, right?

Holy sweet Jesus. I could only find ONE free DLC for Idolmaster SP on JP PSN. It's a "Download Plus" add-on for the game, which opens up extra functionality.... for newer DLC releases. Jesus. Most of the DLC is fucking expensive too, like some minor stuff are 100-200yen, but the majority are 500yen or 1000yen items like extra songs or character costumes. There are no DLC packs either, everything is ala carte single items which only work for a single character. Ie: If you want to buy a song add-on, you have to buy each song individually for each girl you want to use in the game.

No wonder Namco is introducing DLC through costumes in Tales as well. I guess besides all possible visual accessories the consequential next step will be making the victory pose scenes in Tales games come with a camera mode similar to idolm@ster. :lol

I love costumes in games, but I don't want to pay for them... >_<

The absence of leaks has a positive impact for all of us who are big Media Create supporters (Famitsu is overestimated, ha). It will give Media Create threads the glory they once had when everyone was expecting them eagerly. Almost 2 years now with the Famitsu leaks everyone knows hardware and software from before and there isn't the excitement of reading the first post. Will the epic days of who will start first the thread return?:lol (I'm trying to find something positive, I guess I didn't make it)

It's already late at night (or very early in the morning) here when MC shares their research with us. I will never support them! :(

I always hit the bed before Media Create's data is posted in here. In about how many hours should we expect it ?

Well, I don't know actually. When I still cared for the MC Top 10 it was usually posted in about 4 to 5 hours from now (which is ~ 1 or 2am where I live). But that was before we got the Famitsu leak regularly and now these threads get started much later (between 8 and 9 am). It could just be Chris being somewhat slow, though. I don't know!

We don't have numbers yet so let's talk about the number of games planned for Q1

2010

Code:
　　　　 J　 　   F　　    M　　 Total

PSP　 19　　   26　　   14　　 59
DS 　 11　 　  26　　   10　　 47
PS3　 10　 　   8　　　   7　　 25
360　　 8　 　   6　　　   4　　 18
PS2　　 2　　　   6　　　   2　　 10
Wii　　　3　 　   5　　　   1　　　 9

DS 　 17　 　  26　　 45　　  88
PSP　　 6　　   12　　 19　　  37
Wii　　　6　 　   7　　 14　　  27
PS2　　 7　　　   6　　 10　　  23

360　　 5　　   10　　　 3　　  18

(stolen from 2ch and dengeki)

Things to note:

► 211 games in 2009 vs 168 in 2010
► DS is significantly down
► Wii has 9 games planned. That's less than PS2 or 360
► PS2 is down
► PSP and PS3 are up
► Some games can still be announced and/or dated

The Wii's software is just... smh.

Although, in reality, having nothing may not be so much worse than having software that amounts to nothing.

Inside-games update with new weekly data usually 7 to 8 hours from now. I'm from Europe and it's deep night here when this happens. I post the new thread when I go to work, with 2-3 hours delay. If anyone is awake when inside-games give the new numbers and can do the translation he can start the new thread and I will pm him the OP formatted when I log in.

I wish I could see the Ps3 and Wii game lists for Q1. I don't know if most of the Ps3 releases even cater to the Japanese audience..

Oh, no need to defend or explain yourself! I didn't call you out or anything. I was just now (with no Famitsu leak happening anymore) realizing that MC threads are created much later than they used to.
