Numbers were adjusted with official Media Create numbers until the end of 2015.
It's also been on the charts for a year this week. Only a few more before it takes over MHP2G as the longest charting PS game in Japan.
I have been meaning to ask for a while: what is "YSO"?
That speaks more to the power of Pokemon than to its viability vs. SFV as a fighting game.
Do we have numbers for SFV's total sales so far? Is it over or under Pokken's opening?
.Famitsu Sales: Week 12, 2016 (Mar 14 - Mar 20)

Over/Under 250k for Dark Souls 3 next week?
Bloodborne didn't do nearly as well as Dark Souls 2.
In my town, the only XB1 anything i've seen is in a Tsutaya, advertising a day one console + kinect lol. Joshin, Edion, Yamada got nothing.
Thanks, I expected as much. Given how expensive retail space is in Japan, it would be crazy to keep wasting it on a product that has had virtually no sales since it was introduced. Unless Microsoft was paying for it, which apparently they aren't.
Not according to the #superiortracker and it won't be according to the #tiebreakertracker.Splatoon still over 10K.
things are different in Tokyo, even a small shop like Big Mario (Nakano) has its section for XBO; Yodobashi Shinjuku has 3 tv for rolling demo (they still have Raiden V if someone is interested)
The Yodobashi and Big Camera around Kyoto Station also have an entire aisle and prominent tv display for XBO. Was very noticeable.things are different in Tokyo, even a small shop like Big Mario (Nakano) has its section for XBO; Yodobashi Shinjuku has 3 tv for rolling demo (they still have Raiden V if someone is interested)
Mario & Sonic Comparison
You know Splatoon is successful when it hits 1.3 million and no one even cares to point it out.
I guess Pokken did okay. A little better would've been nice, but that would be a lot to expect from a fighting game.
Shouldn't it be the other way, though? In a place like Tokyo, retail space is/would be at a premium and therefore it would make no sense to waste it on dead wood?
We are talking about a system that sold nation-wide 90 units in one week. One of those stores you mentioned may have sold three or four of those at most. This is the kind of thing you put on a mail order system because it's not feasible to dedicate retail space for it.
Or so I thought. Reality is clearly contradicting that view.
Wow, Gundam Breaker 3 selling more on Vita than on PS4. I don't keep up with Media Create threads, how common is it for the Vita to outsell the PS4 at this point in the cycle? I know the PS4 was struggling in Japan for a while, but assumed that had resolved since there's so many JPN PS4 games being released now (it was pretty much all western games for the first year or so).
Edit:
Just noticed the same thing with Summon Night 6, I guess this is still pretty common.

Rio confirmed slightly inferior to London!
Mario & Sonic Comparison
I see both of them entering bargain bins soon. Things may be a little better for Pokken.
I'd be surprised if either of those sold their full shipment without bargain bins.
Don't forget its the Anniversary year, Pokken may have decent legs due to indirect marketing and overall Pokemon hype throughout the year.
With the PS Vita version of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X launched in Japan today, Sega has shared the first screenshots from the PlayStation 4 version of the game, which is due out this fall in Japan.
The new main visual has actually already replaced the PS Vita versions main visual on the Hatsune Miku Sega blog.
From the moment of announcement of Project Diva X those who wanted to buy it on Vita will buy it, they won't wait for PS4 coming later.
I'm sure.
Doing a massive info dump for Future Tone just before and then a big info dump for Diva X PS4 just after the Vita version has released seems up there with the Dragon Quest Heroes 2 announcement in "surely there's a better time for this" moments, though.

I understand that 2ds is not counted but are we still sure that the better hw this year will be the 3ds? Honestly O think that once the ps4 heavy hitters will come it will be the ps4 to lead
Maybe there was a better timing but Sony owners have showed Vita is the leading system at almost every multiplatforn release no matter what. Even for Attack on Titan, a typical home console game, Vita leads.
Now, for a game that comes only on Vita at first the loss in sales will be insignificant.
London came out 2 weeks earlier than Rio. With that and Wii U version not being a major player this time it will show better legs and LTD.
Ahh. That was a joke on the cities, lol.
I think at this point the splatoon number is just something the MC staff have written down in ink. That shit is unchanging.
Pretty much demonstrates the different approach in marketing in a single picture, while they waited until the last second to do any marketing for DQJ3, we already see in-store ads for the upcoming DQH2.
Half of the chart will be new entries, next week.
Wasn't it exactly the same last year in the last week of March? The One Piece/Senran Kagura/Disgaea 5 week I think.
