What exactly is the Wii U holding onto? Its sales dropped from the previous week and the Vita still outsold it.

Drops were almost the same for both systems. Wii U dropped 35%. Vita Dropped 39%.
Still sold better than the Wii U version, lol.lol why did they even bother?
Not according to Superior Tracker.Muramasa kicking DQX and G&W butts still.
Yet Nintendo thought game and wario was perfect for Wii U.
If anything, the better strategy would be to release Game and Wario on 3DS where it belongs since its a handheld franchise, and Luigi's Mansions 2 should be on the Wii U.
Dunno but pretty soon the only system with positive growth YoY will be the Vita!
Y'know, I'm not quite sure about that. I don't think it's in any way likely but I do think it's a genuine possibility over the lifetime of the hardware, and I didn't think anything like that before launch.I do think both games can coexist, and Luigi might have good legs after all. Not to reach the 1 million mark, of course.
Again: Animal Crossing NL over 3 million and Mario Kart 7 over 2 million.
Didn't expect Vita to drop so much. I thought it'd be good for another 20k+ week.
Nice for KH.
3DS is their primary platform, so it makes sense for it to get the more top tier software.
From the other thread, it seems Vita is suffering supply constraints.
Famitsu has some note of Vita "scarcity" according to google translate, although I'm not sure how much credence to give it? I guess we'll see in a week.
I don't agree with this. But it does bold well for more games with Luigi in the starring role. Maybe the Luigi DLC for NSMBU will do good.Luigi really should have been multiplatform on Wii U and 3DS.
Weird statement considering Vita dropped 39% and WiiU 35%. I'd say both are dropping.Go Go Luigi!
Vita dropped pretty hard and the Wii U dropped less than what I expected. Though everything dropped this week.
Huh?but it's probably already fair to call it a failure from Sony's perspective
01./01. [3DS] Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon <ACT> (Nintendo) {2013.03.20} (¥4.800) - 68.423 / 459.413 (-38%)
Hmmm, death if LM2 cross 450k this week.

Not according to Superior Tracker.
Game & Wario hold better than Dragon Quest X
That's like saying MH4 will stop selling once Pokemon X/Y are released - those are totally different games which don't substitute each other that way. AC will also keep on selling once TD is released, though their might target the same consumers. There're people saying that Japanese will stop buying Luigi because Nintendo is advertising Tomodachi. With 3DS huge installed base, I do think both games can coexist, and Luigi might have good legs after all. Not to reach the 1 million mark, of course.

Go Luigi kick your inferior brother ass.3rd week:
[WII] Super Mario Galaxy - 43.317 / 378.007
[WII] Super Mario Galaxy 2 - 71.803 / 525.525
[3DS] Super Mario 3D Land - 52.793 / 485.377
[3DS] Luigi's Mansion 2 - 64.046 / 467.571
Famitsu.
Reposting this to add to the discussion.Vita is now supply constrained in Japan. I don't know why though.
(also mentioned in Famitsu Ranking.)
That's for real. Go to Yodobashi or any big retailer and they'll tell you they hand you one at middle of May or something.
Vita being a port machine is what's keeping the console alive at this point and this won't change in the near future - God Eater 2, FFX HD etc. are Vita biggest upcoming titles. But yeah of course Luigi is and should be 3DS exclusive, gotta sell your system. No way, vita being a port machine hurt it. 3DS is a unique platform with its own games.
Huh?
07./16. [3DS] Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission (Namco Bandai Games) - 11,698 / 153,760 (+9%)
