Can anyone with a Japanese Wii u check how dq10 is doing on the eshop charts?
Someone said it's actually topping it.

I'm also in the camp that thinks LM2 should've been a Wii-U game.
If it were November and not April, I'd almost say that Luigi has a chance to get to a million.
If it were a Wii U game it wouldn't be out; and it wouldn't have worked as well as it does on 3DS.

After Golden Week we will know if Luigi's Mansion 2 has a legitimate chance to reach the million mark.
I always thought it would have a similar performance to Mario & Luigi RPG 3.
There is absolutely no evidence supporting this.

Its at number one. Someone posted it here a moment ago.
Vita having shortage at some stores doesn't mean you can't find it in Japan.
I'd be willing to wait and it might've been a better game with some ingenious use of the Wii-U controller. We'll never know. I just don't see the point in throwing another compelling title at the 3DS whilst the Wii-U flounders so badly. Of course, the decision was made a long time ago and hindsight is 20/20.If it were a Wii U game it wouldn't be out; and it wouldn't have worked as well as it does on 3DS.
Or a HD version of the original.Well if they make LM2 HD for WiiU later then more cash to be made
There is nothing stopping Nintendo from doing a unique Luigi's mansion for Wii U. I prefer Nintendo doing a unique title for each platform rather than releasing the same thing on both. I'll be angry if Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U are the same.
I so no value from a Wii U version that the 3DS can't match and in fact the 3D is a great additional feature to the game and does work with the fishing mechanics.

Which needs more help sales wise Wii U or 3DS ?
I wouldn't rule 1M out, GW is coming up. It'll eventually get there IMO.There're people saying that Japanese will stop buying Luigi because Nintendo is advertising Tomodachi. With 3DS huge installed base, I do think both games can coexist, and Luigi might have good legs after all. Not to reach the 1 million mark, of course.
Its far outpacing it. Nintendo games have pretty good legs, I think this one is easily a 1M game. After Golden Week we will know if Luigi's Mansion 2 has a legitimate chance to reach the million mark.

It works fine on the 3DS and the 3D is great. Why does it need to be a Wii U title?
Nintendo's handheld now does 3D games, the idea that all its games should be on the console is idiotic.
If Luigi's Mansion were a Wii U title it probably would make larger mansions and more open world; 3DS game has a mission selection setup to allow for shorter plays.

LM2 will become the best selling western developed game in Japan in the last 15 years.
Believe!
30./00. [3DS] Taiko no Tatsujin: Chibi Dragon to Fushigi na Orb (Namco Bandai Games) - 4,185 / 442,558
Any particular reason why this popped back up? Or is it just those Namco legs?
Lets see if it will sell that much more than DKC Returns.LM2 will become the best selling western developed game in Japan in the last 15 years.

DKCR?What is the current champion ?
Last 15 years or so DKCR with 950K+What is the current champion ?

LM2 was in development long before there was any indication that it'd be a title the Wii U "needed more". Anyway one of the motivations for the sequel was the use of 3D which is something the Wii U does not support. And hey, one LM on 3DS does not negate a future Wii U version. This whole argument is rather bizarre to me.
I'm more surprised at the Wii version which jumped up considerably. Both Taikos have been hovering around the Top 50 for ages now.
I still prefer the Super Donkey Kong name. Something about that super word: Super Famicom, Super Mario, Super Wii...Last 15 years or so DKCR with 950K+
Overall DKC1 with 3M.
Looking at Amazon Japan most Vita models are selling for above the rrp..so there's obviously still a supply issue...
...although I can't help but wonder why.
Vita has had a nice boost but it's not like it's selling crazy numbers. You'd have thought Sony would have more than enough stock sitting in a warehouse somewhere.
Ah ah yeah, I just put the international name to be more recognizable by every gaffers.I still prefer the Super Donkey Kong name. Something about that super word: Super Famicom, Super Mario, Super Wii...
What is this 3DS doesn't need LM it's doing great nonsense? 3DS is still struggling in the west, especially America. 3DS needs compelling software like this in those regions.
The game works fine without 3D and wouldn't need it to operate.
Regardless, if I'm Nintendo I'm working on a Wii U version of a new Luigi's Mansion right now.
Well the Wii u does support 3d we just haven't had any 3d games yet
