How does AA5 numbers compare to the other games? These seem extremely good to me.
First week was on par with AA4, second week is 10k lower than AA4's second week. So, it's doing slightly worse right now.

#1 Disney Magic Castle: 105K
#2 Ace Attorney 5: 46K
#3 Mario & Luigi: 32K
Pikmin 3: 11K (LTD ~160K)
Killer Is Dead: 18K
Mind=0: 16K
3DS 7 out of top 10.
WiiU: 9,400 (last week 10,900)
3DS: 62K (last week 56K)
Ps3: 10,600
PSV: 17K
You forgot Mana Khemia 1&2 which are part of the main serie.
It's interesting how closely the PS3 entries (and to some extent the PS2 ones as well) fit the usual "console lifecycle" Gauss curve.Wasting time on Excel:
Yeah, the guy i replied to mentioned it I just saw the game being announced for both PS3 and 3DS (sorry for the very late reply, i forgot to answer earlier). They aren't the same game/genre.
I didnt really see Ace Attorney as a casual game, but that might be one reason indeed.Casual audience isn't as large (or will be) as it was with the DS.
Killer is Dead not even 20k?
I guess Suda is cursed in Japan.
Mana Khemia in 07-08
Sub-10k again for WiiU. W101 numbers honestly frighten me for Platinum's future. I don't want them getting the rep Suda51 and Grasshopper do, despite the quality gulf!
What's the LTD for M&L so far and how does it compare to the others (sans Bowser unless you want to make me cry).
[GBA] Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (Nintendo) {2003.11.21} - 25.473 / 127.442 (438.781 LTD)
[NDS] Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (Nintendo) {2005.12.29} - 28.759 / 279.973 (417.391 LTD)
[NDS] Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (Nintendo) {2009.02.11} - 56.266 / 334.930 (745.701 LTD)
[3DS] Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (Nintendo) {2013.07.18} - 32.000 / 188.000
Yes, Bowser's Inside Story too. We must face reality
I assumed Lolipop was a trend change and Suda will do better in the future but i guess they are back to old sales numbers.
Yayy, Vita revival continues.
Er....what?
Wiiu is actually holding better than i assumed it would. I expected back to 5k by now.
Vita is holding at about 17k, which is a really good result, isn't it?Er....what?

Wii U is back in awful-territory, although it just had an incredibly good game. With Mario coming in December, Wii U has a really horrible time ahead...
17k despite having pretty much nothing is quite good. As long as it can hold up until the big games come out, it's fine.
Besides Gods Eater 2, what big titles are there?

How many of that 1 million were published by Nintendo, though?
Or from franchises that were already big sellers on other platforms. Seems to me the difference is much less pronounced if you look at new IPs.
It is good for vita (with lowered expectations and all) it just seemed weird to mention it in a week with a drop after a game underperformed
which game underperformed?
which game underperformed?
Uh I know, but unless I'm dumb or something from 2001 to 2013 it's thirteen years, not fifteen.
which game underperformed?
I would say it's twelve years
It is a series that anyone can get into. I view visual novels as a type of games that sell well to all audiences.I didnt really see Ace Attorney as a casual game, but that might be one reason indeed.

Trails in the Flash and FFX HD. I also expect J-Stars Victory Vs and Dangan-Ronpa to do strongly on the Vita.
Can we assume that the PSP will never outsell the Vita weekly anymore ?
Dragon's Crow PSV: 13,772
PS3: 13,714
Any more notable PSP titles on the horizon?
Damn at the 3ds bump
None of those are even close to being big titles.
Dragon's Crow PSV: 13,772
PS3: 13,714
What "victory"? I do believe this discussion started around the claim that the Vita was a good platform for thrid-party releases, and in that context I'm making an observation that I don't think publishers are served by mindlessly looking at how big established IPs sell unless they've got something of equal stature. For new IPs and less established franchises, the Vita seems to be holding its own.Goal post shift in the mold of "Nintendo games don't count" or "only new IPs count"?
Hey, whatever you gotta do to rationalize a "victory" I guess.
You do not consider FFX HD a big title? Especially since the Dragon's Crown split was so even? I think you are seriously underestimating the demand for portable titles if you do not think that FFX HD will move some serious units.
NOTE: I am not saying it will outsell the PS3 version, I am just saying that it is a big title and to say anything less is very short sighted.
makes me wonder what kind of Digital Sales these are getting. Anyone on JP PSN able to say how many reviews it currently has? That is at least a baseline indicator.
