But I guess the tags can remain the same...

I think Nintendo will be VERY happy if the only system beating the Wii U is the 3DS.And it'll still be getting curb-stomped by the 3DS, so the gif will still fit.
lol
We need a WiiU one, but what do we label as the guys?
I think next up is GBA.So, as 3DS moves past the Wii, where is it on the all-time chart?
Zelda never does that well in Japan, and this one isn't even a new title. I'd guess it does 50k - 60k first week at best.

Depends how much it's beating it by. As we saw when the Vita had a decent run, second place means fuck all.I think Nintendo will be VERY happy if the only system beating the Wii U is the 3DS.
Aye, I know. It's still 'only' 10-15% of sales. That said, I'm not up on how big the eShop is, that might well be relatively high.
I meant as a proportion of sales, not as an absolute number. I thought this'd be a title that might be pretty digital-heavy as people would always want it on their 3DS.
There's an ad:Even that seems a bit optimistic. There is zero hype for it here. Haven't seen a single ad. (Did they even make any TV spots?) I guess there might be 50k hardcore Zelda fans out there. But much like pikmin 3 I think people are overstating its potential.
Oh, cold.

But that's about it. The game is on the 15 position on amazon right now. Considering it was released a couple of hours ago, we are looking in a Lego City scenario.
I don't know, PSP was in second place to the DS, and it meant quite a bit- without it we wouldn't have so many threads talking about Vitas at all.Depends how much it's beating it by. As we saw when the Vita had a decent run, second place means fuck all.

Dad why are they beating him?
Because he's the handheld gamers deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So they'll beat him. Because he can take it.

Anyone want to hazard a guess at what Puzzle&DragonsZ will do in December? I've got absolutely no idea.
There is no potential. It does okay week one, then maybe like 10k week two, then disappears off the charts. Wii U might pick up a bit the week it releases, but that's it.Even that seems a bit optimistic. There is zero hype for it here. Haven't seen a single ad. (Did they even make any TV spots?) You are. 3DS is only behind the DS because it's still more expensive. 2DS and Pokemon will go a long way to help it start catching up some more.
Well behind the most successful handheld console ever, what a shame.
Yes, you are a tad too negative
considering the completely different circumstances surrounding today's market compared to what it was during the DS, yeah, you are being very negative

I disagree. I think price contributes a lot more to the difference than you're letting on.DS sold over 7.5 million in two years row in Japan. 3DS is not going to catch up with it. Market has just changed. Brain Training and Nintendogs audience that made DS so ultra popular have gone elsewhere.
And it'll still be getting curb-stomped by the 3DS, so the gif will still fit.

PSP should hit 20 million next week on Media Create. I wonder how long it will take 3DS to reach that figure (and that's assuming it does).

Probably 2.5 years
You can't even handle a single Vita beaten Gif? Think of all the Microsoft fans during last May/June, and what they went through.
9,954¥ vs 19,980¥ yo.
Call me when I can buy a VitaTV for 10k yen, need nothing else and play straight out of the box
O wait, I can't.
You need a controller and a memory card to make that thing work. In the end, it's barely less expensive than a full fledged vita.

The Roku and WDTV are sold in Japan for under 10,000Y with support for Japanese streaming apps?
I feel like I'm missing something in this Wii U / Vita "debate" (as big of a debate as two dead and irrelevant systems can have).
What exactly are the Wii U games coming out before the end of the year people are talking about. It's just Mario, Taiko and Donkey Kong right?
- 3DS is just unbeatable. Once Pokémon hits it's going to be so brutal, pretty much like no other platform matters.
- Vita TV and especially the new Vita will indeed boost sales. It happens even with new colors of the same system.
- I'm hoping WiiU can make a small comeback with the new software until Mario Kart gets released next year. Please get GCN numbers at least, WiiU
Even if Wii U's numbers don't improve, it will hit GCNs numbers (~4m) by the end of 2017.
If things pick up, it might double that? who knows really.

Also, it wasn't mentioned, but i think it was a good start for both Nobunaga and Sangokushi. Those kind of games almost never even chart. To see Nobunaga selling almost 10k is crazy. Sangokushi is not on the same level, but it still is better than nothing.
Today they are going to release Sangoku 12 with power up kit on PS3, Wiiu and Vita. I think even on three consoles, it's not going to pass the 3DS version.
But, well, who cares. It's not like those games were big to begin with.
Also, i think WW will open with 30k sales, which means it's not going to pass 20k. Maybe Wiiu will get closer to 10k, but i don't believe it will get there.
A remake on a dead system surely doesn't help. For every upcoming Wii U title we must lower expectations to zero and start from there. I have a very bad feeling for 3D World. NSMBU bundle will lower even more its sales.
Came Center DX 3 limited edition will be 50k sets.
GameCube LTD sales is the best case scenario at this point, so it's unlikely to even do that. Double? Not a chance.
