Very very nice numbers for 3DS!
But isn't MH4G numbers very low?
Holy shit people these days, you do realize 3DS is like the second fastest console ever in Japan right?.Shocking for Wii U. Disappointing for n3DS to be under last year's already poor figure.
Japanese console gaming is dead. Nothing will bring it back now. Long live mobile gaming!
MH4U seems low...
Out of curiosity, did the typhoon affect these sales numbers?
Well they kinda screwed up for now - what the next mobile2vita port ? The Secret of Mana title ?
Oh I never saw that icon before, lol. Thanks for the correction.Nope...
...and nope.
The icon on the right indicates a sell-through between 20% and 40%; the icon for 0-20% is:
Also, 8.25 is not Famitsu's review score, but the aggregate users' score from Famitsu's readers.
Eh, G versions sell really well. Dumb excuses aside, MH4 G not outselling the previous installment is a little surprising. But overall the numbers are pretty close.I assume sell-through for both MH and the n3DS-LL (Maybe the n3DS too, but that's less clear) is close to 100%, so sales are limited by supply limitations. That and MH is still just MH4 with some extras, so it may or may not have the same legs of the original.
Thanks for the info. So, yes, these numbers seem somewhat stunningly low to me as far as hardware.Typhoon hitted the south and center of Japan on Monday. In Tokyo it arrived at night. On Tuesday morning it was already gone.
Disappointing for n3DS to be under last year's already poor figure.
What's with the MH4G selling low concern? It's already safe to say it's already 2 million by now. In Famitsu charts, it's already close to 1.9 million.

Everything is dead while 3DS coasting by on sequels sigh.
But Yakuza 0 is a prequel!Sequels is what will probably give life to PS4 next year, so be thankful for them!.
Only Agito is set for a retail release.
Chaos Rings III Trilogy sold the "right" amount, I agree with you. Problem is, it has been overshipped, and by a wide margin. Decision on how much to ship is not only retailers' decision; next time SQEX will put out a smartphone porting on PSV, though, they will be more careful in getting so many copies.
It's quite poor, especially given Media.Vision usually does better as well.Well they kinda screwed up for now - what the next mobile2vita port ? The Secret of Mana title ?
It's not surprising at all, nobody ever expected 4G to outsell the original. Times are different, 4G is a sequel and they are usually frontloaded.Eh, G versions sell really well. It's not selling bad by any means. Its destroying everything else. I did kind of expect the series to rise when going Nintendo and if I'm not wrong, nothing has yet matched MHP3. I thought this would reach 5 million if MH4 didnt. What's with the MH4G selling low concern? It's already safe to say it's already 2 million by now. Why? MH G versions have done really well in the past, particularly MHP2G which is when the series truly exploded. It's not surprising at all, nobody ever expected 4G to outsell the original. Times are different, 4G is a sequel and they are usually frontloaded.
It should have no trouble getting close to 3 million though, which is a nice result. This time, they are also releasing the game in the west.

Rise of Mana should be soon, but like all of Square's remaining announced titles, is f2p. It just has one of those IAP item collector's editions in stores.
Edit: I may be confusion the retail edition of Agito with this.
Well Agito could and will probably do better, is just F2P like on mobile or more something like PaD on 3DS ?
G versions sell well but the only times they did better iirc were when the franchise was still growing (2nd to 2ndG) and when it was switching to the more popular platform for the series (tri Wii to tri G 3DS). This is the first time we are getting to see just how well G games compare outside of context. And predictably it's a drop. It is for Pokemon and other MH-like games, and it will likely be the same for YW2.5.Eh, G versions sell really well. Digital sales for Monster Hunter 4G are well over 100,000, definitely over 150,000 and I should think very close to 200,000.
I'm going to laugh my ass off if the Xbox One ever sells only 4 units in Japan.I'm curious if it can get down to double digits this year.
Its BARELY a drop and probably less significant when counting digital. I think it's possible that 4 or more likely, 4G just didn't garner the same excitement by fans and so the series has stalled a bit. It can still grow, maybe with MH5.Lol @ calling last year's 3DS figures poor...

This is what Bayonetta looks like in Japan.
short legs
I see, then people should be familiar with that concept. Hopefully for them they know that its not a brand new game at least hehe.Halfway between Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow.
I know that you mean in regards to the new model, but i think its very safe to assume that the majority of sales, or at least a big part of it, every week for every system are new owners. Interesting to see those games increase this week though, if it is a weekly chart and the games have been long gone from the other previous weeks charts.Obviously only anecdotal but the return of Super Mario Bros 3, Pokemon AR Searcher, Puyo Puyo Mini Version and the rise of the Bike Rider and Touch Battle Tank series (admittedly the latter are on sale) imply that there are some first time 3DS owners.
How do we know this? Excluding download cards, because those are counted in the Famitsu numbers.Digital sales for Monster Hunter 4G are well over 100,000, definitely over 150,000 and I should think very close to 200,000.
Just makes me sad were never gonna get that age of originality that defined Japan again. :/
It's at http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/eshop/index.html (and on my blog lol)Remember that retail download codes are accounted in digital sales, though.
Btw, can anyone post current All-Time 3DS eShop Japanese Chart? Since we know Gunman Clive is over 100,000 units sold in Japan, we should get a better idea on how things are going.

But Yakuza 0 is a prequel!
...Well 4G is basically an expansion to 4.
Well, YW is an IP that was born just one year and a half ago.
