We've known for months now that there will be a Vita 'relaunch' in Feb/Mar 2013, and that Sony has willingly sacrificed the year-end sales to make that a success.
Is this a joke post?

It is crazy how fast Google is to cache things. Written maybe 30 minutes ago and Google has already picked it up.When you claim something is happening and google searching that event only comes up with your own post making the claim...
Even if you're joking that's hilarious.

Well, to be fair in that timefrate there should be a good breath for Vita: not only Soul Sacrifice, but also PSO 2 and God eater 2 and Tales ofsomething R will be released.
If we assume that right at the beginning of the new fiscal year, with the Golden Week incoming few weeks later, there could be a cut price, we could seriously see the best post-launch month for Vita.
that could be a re-launch
The only game you listed that has a chance of doing anything is God Eater 2, and that might just have its chances killed off by the PSP version.
They plan to relaunch the Vita in between DQVIIR and MH4?
Genious

Remember guys in the story of the tortoise and the hare the speedy hare ended up losing the race
Seriously though Vita is deader then dead, unless the drop in numbers has to do with people waiting for new colors (doubt it).
You have to be seriously short-sighted to not see the reason games like Soul Sacrifice were delayed when they were finished, along with all new games being announced for the Feb/Mar time frame is that there will be a price drop and significant marketing push around then, which they hope will push it forward to Q3/4 for a Vita-Lite (Q1 2014 if they actually manage to revive it).
It's painfully obvious this is Sony's strategy. Or do people think they delayed their biggest game beyond the holidays for fun?
Soul Sacrifice is a big game? How much will it sell?
That fits the theme of the game (Soul Sacrifice) very wellIf it goes against MH4, it's in for a world of pain.

I think Sony's reliance on Soul Sacrifice is misguided. They're hoping to catch lightning in a bottle twice and it just isn't going to happen (well, more like catch lightning in a bottle once since it wasn't even them the first time). But it should be able to break decent ground for a new IP regardless. 200-250k LTD I'm thinking.Soul Sacrifice is a big game? How much will it sell?

A relaunch with 200-250k for the major title is a dream.

For those thinking Sony putting all they have up against DQ7 and MH4 is a bad strategy: Would doing nothing while they are slaughtered by those releases be a better idea?
Chris, the link from the OP to the Sales Database is broken.
Can you provide antoher one, or point me where I could have a look at current attach ratios? Thanks!
With lot's of new 3DS owners buying the LL version, I wonder if Nintendo is making a fortune off charger sales now. lol
It depends on how much consumers are buying a 3DS for the first time, and so they're buying directly the XL, compared to the amount of people who already owns an original 3DS but they're upgrading to 3DS XL.
It happens from time to time with megafileupload. It works for me now.
This really can not be said enough. And personal opinion, their marketing (which all NOA is) sucks so far with the 3DS. Sucks in that there is a lack of it.Time to formally put Reggie and Kimishima on notice. Yes the market conditions are different here in NA, but there's still no excuse for how far behind 3DS is lagging here compared to Japan. The fact that I'm seeing no holiday/black Friday 3DS hardware bundles like we normally do is telling.
Either deliver the results, or find someone else who will.
Just tried again, doesn´t work for me.

The much more likely reason they delayed Soul Sacrifice was to not go head to head against Animal Crossing.
Keep refreshing the page.
You can use garaph or gamedatamuseum otherwise.

That makes zero sense. There is barely any crossover between these two titles' demographic, and it was delayed to a time frame with one equally prolific game and another huge seller after a massive bump in install base advantage following the holidays..The much more likely reason they delayed Soul Sacrifice was to not go head to head against Animal Crossing.
Inafune stated during the TGS conference that SS development was extended at Sony's request.Vita has NOTHING this holiday, the only reason they delayed it was because it wasn't finished

So Sony saw it and realised it needed longer in the oven
First couple pages are incredible.
Do half of these posters even have a Vita? Lol.
Those quotes are hilarious. Really, it's nice to see the Vita fail just for crow eating reasons. It's sad to see the Vita fail so badly as it is actually a good Sony console, typical we copy last gen Nintendo and make it better and more expensive.
No idea if the Vita deserves better sales. But it sure deserves better fanboys who actually buy the thing and not just brag about how it is "superior" to the 3DS. Which actually moves forward and does new things.
SS's delay also happened before MH4 was dated iirc. I doubt Sony intended to throw it in front of that bus but too late now.Inafune stated during the TGS conference that SS development was extended at Sony's request.
