I think they are aware of the short term of their success.Yeah it does look to be the case. It might end up doing better than I expected after all. Level 5 still needs to address the drop in interest their series get after finishing complete trilogies though. They should definitely be investing in new stable IPs in the long run, and I think it would be smarter if they don't group them into "trilogies" or other such finite narrative blocks. Instead making each game a stand alone title in an on-going series would work much better.

Holy shit at Mario Kart 7. Close to 1,5M in just 2 weeks.
It was still chugging along when it dropped from the Top 30. Wonder what it's legged to since.Actually, Goldeneye sold pretty well this Summer.
