anybody got any recommendations for cheap (~£30) sunglasses? more for protection than fashion, but if they look good then that's a plus :p something with local UK shipping would be ideal too.

Just bought a pair of black Levi stretchy jeans.. These feel amazing.

I have a pair of standard denim Levis and they've developed a hole in a few spaces, especially the thighs. Is there any recommended way to patch these up?

Think between the thighs is hard to patch? That's where all my jeans usually rip, I wear them until the hole gets too big then just donate them to charity store to sell as rags

I like the jeans quite a lot. I would wear them almost every other day.

I do understand patch working a small amount, so I'm going to get some denim patches for the inner thigh areas, knee cap areas and the pocket area. All of those spots have huge holes in them from being worn so much.

Hello!

Can I get some opinions for my upcoming semi-casual event?
I am really bad at fashion because I am colorblind, but hopefully you can help me get a good color for a v-neck sweat or just change all around these sets?

1st set:
http://imgur.com/a/WCbdf
Shirt black, too big, will buy a smaller one.
Blue pants (Not really jeans, not really chinos, but they look cool, and I need and will cuff them)
Black shoes.

2nd set:

http://imgur.com/a/eQKaX
Same as before but with white shirt (Which fits me perfectly)
I went with this set last year, but with a blue tie, but I wanna change a bit this year! (Not too formal)

3rd set:
http://imgur.com/a/RLxGv
Same as before but with brown(?? colorblind) chinos.

I wanna keep this for my event!
Shoes and jacket!
Bonus pic:

The shoes and jacket go very well together, I just need to figure out the rest on mixing the colours!
I will also keep the belt on, was just testing the waters.
I hope I get some opinions because It's really hard to figure out what goes well with my colorblindness.

Set 2 or 3 are fine (my preference is 3). NO to Set 1 just because of the black shirt.

If you have the time, get your pants hemmed instead of cuffing it - it's going to look bulky if you cuff it.

And grab a light grey or white v-neck undershirt, unless you plan on buttoning the shirt up all the way and wear a tie. Might look sloppy with the crewneck undershirt peeking out from the collar.

Thanks, and yeah I'm probably getting a grey tee so it blends with the rest.
Also yeah I ment to say hem, not cuff. my bad.

Last but not least,
I tried one last set, changed around the colors by someone's advice.

Could this be potentially better than all other options?
I still feel naked by only using a black shirt and just a jacket...(I'm buying a good black shirt, this was just for testing)

As a general rule, you don't want to mix black and brown.

Your third option was the best, and a great choice. It needs a belt though. Not black.

Could just be the angle or the mirror, but you might want to try higher waisted pants. It'll visually move your waistline up and make your legs look longer to balance out your long torso. This is especially true with tucked in shirts.

....

I suggest ditching those jean style chinos and going with chinos that are more slacks/trouser like. Those jeans style pockets are way too casual and don't really flatter. Get something with a hidden closure or waist stay as they are sometimes called. I really like the drape and look of the uniqlo ultra stretch skinny chinos (interestingly they aren't skinny at all). Just get them hemmed so they don't bunch up.

Personally I think the third option is the best - the brown chinos add a different colour and the white shirt is always a clean classic.

The fourth set (one above) is ok but you shouldn't usually mix black and brown as they can clash. So I'd go with number 3.

Hope this helps!

Yeah I was working right now with the same image and I found it with "Bamba gafas" on Google, considering he is spanish. Thank you very much guys anyway.
So it's a spanish brand... kind of a bummer. They might ship to Italy, but I guess I'll look for some brownish Rayban instead.

Spring is in the air, and denim jackets are cool again. I spontaneously sewed a patch onto my jacket's sleeve and have to confess that I'm about to go all out.

Just ordered a few based on horror movies, and industrial bands I'm into. Its a fun look which reminds me of dressing 'punk' in my youth.

With 'Ye wearing Cradle of Filth shirts, I'm ready to go full metal-head again as well.

Hey I'm new to caring about what I wear, usually get all my clothes at Target, mossimo or whatever they have.
Tshirts and jeans, no belts so far. I live in LA.

Care about comfort, done wearing stuff I don't feel good in. I'm 5' 10~, not fat but not skinny. not a flat butt tho, pants are a pain. I usually wear dark colors or just black.

Need some jeans, Levi 541 athletic straight fit were recommended earlier in this thread.
Pls halpppp ;_;

Also, choosing to wear clothing because Kanye West does is all kinds of doing life wrong.

I have a metalhead coworker who's annoyed with this recent over-commercialization of a lot of bands she likes, but on the other hand, is pretty happy about being able to buy vintage Alice Cooper and Slayer tees for dirt cheap at Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters, heh.

"Let's Go Fucking Crazy"

"Rock And Fucking Roll"

"A Cannabis Leaf"

Not enough cringes in the world, this jacket is hilariously tryhard, I wouldn't wear it if you paid me.

Obviously, my patches are a bit more personal.
I'm also not wearing metal shirts because of kanye, I just appreciate the fact that the look is 'in' rn.

Trying to remember brand from last year with really nice looking hoodies, relatively colorful but simple, some had fur or faux fur lining/insides, in the high $100s or $200s. Simple brand logo. Super general question but anyone know?

edit: nevermind figured it, Aime Leon Dore

Look good but slim fit..
My thighs/butt/waist isn't super slim.
My current two pairs are Mossimo slim fit, they work but I liked my old straight fit better.

I used to play hooker/prop in Rugby so I'm a built square shaped guy too. Those jeans are amazing plus they have stretch so they're actually more comfortable than straight or relaxed jeans IMO. Can get em anywhere so try on in your size or one size above and see what you think

Just ordered the Hokkaido pants and Asroc Overalls. Hope they're a good fit :)

Anyone have experience with Uniqlo's denim alterations?

For some fucking reason, they stopped stocking length 32s for nearly all of their jeans. I found two pairs with 32 length a few months ago and I feel like I struck gold or something. They only stock 34s now.

None of the associates could tell me what I could expect. Worse is that I cant even return the pants if the alteration goes terribly. To be safe, I asked them to cut it 1.5inches so I can try them out and cut more if needed. Will the taper after the alteration be the same as true length 32 or will it be wider? I'm expecting the latter and that really sucks.

That sucks. Did you guys ever do it? Was it at least satisfactory?

The 32 lengths that I have from them are nearly perfect, especially since they stretch for my fat ass. Kind of sad I wont find those sizes and taper from Uniqlo on a regular basis (if ever).

1.5 inches above the hem i would imagine isn't going to drastically alter the taper, i'd question the severity of the taper design if 1.5 inches from the hem results in something so severe that it changes your whole thought on the fit of the pant. just my opinion.

Thats true. I'm picking up the pants tomorrow so hopefully they fit well and I'm just overthinking stuff.

I bought a pair of their stretch slim selvedge and got a basic hem done on it for free. No complaints.

I just need to get used to the wider leg opening again, having mainly worn stretch skinny jeans the last couple of years.

Not a fan. they don't keep the taper at all, ended up much wider than I wanted. haven't bought jeans from them since they only started stocking 34" and longer
