I don't know how malleable EviLore EviLore and the team are, that remains to be seen. However, just the sheer volume of kool-aid drinking y'alling folx shitting up the place with their pre-programmed thoughts ad nauseam is bound to make the experience worse..

It doesn't matter how many times you embarrass them with facts and a common-sense approach to social / economic questions. They will produce the same broken arguments again as if nothing happened.

I think both the big boss and mod team seem to have a good grip on what's acceptable to post. They've set boundaries and everything I've seem suggests they're on a good path.

They don't stand for nonsense and I don't think that will change. A precedent will definitely be set if anyone steps out of line and I think to some degree we have already seen that with some recent bans, even as recently as tonight.

I trust them to do the right thing and keep this community focused on driving discussion that is healthy and can challenge viewpoints. Not straying into pseudoscience, gender politics and mocking political preferences.

Eh, it's been a day or two since these reeeturners piled in and several that were stirring it up were banned already.

I wasn't active but lurked as a non-member during the great schism, but it was mostly the mods that caused the problems, correct? Favoritism and pushing agendas from the mods with the staff being maybe too hands off seemed to be what caused the problems. We'll know if things turn sour by which mods are added. I respect how the current crew is running things and there's not any particular reason to think they're going to screw it up now.

Hopefully the overall tone does stay similar because I'm loving it here.

I feel like a dummy. You know the Cyberpunk poster with the humongous girl dong? I thought the crazy straw she was drinking from led all the way down into the tip of the penis. I never noticed the drink can before.

That's honestly legitimately my least favorite entry. They censored every single kill in the movie you've got to watch the real kills on YouTube but they're in low VHS quality unfortunately. I mean yeah the telekinetic stuff is pretty fun but half the reason I watch a Jason film is for The kills

Fair enough.

Friday the 13th is pretty hit or miss for me. Always preferred Texas Chainsaw, Nightmare on Elm Street, Child's Play. There's more fun there imho.

I don't care much for the original Friday the 13th even... the dude who directed it, however, also directed The New Kids




That spit was awesome. The whole "80s teen gang terrorizes the high school" sub-genre of movie is always a treat.

Depends on context, I'm not super into violence for violence's sake basically. I really love properly spooky things though, I love being creeped out, scared, just not revelling in gore and violence. For a while there it seemed like people really just did want torture porn.

I believe this has to do more with a mental routine than actually a reasonable person. Sure, there are people there who just wants to discuss games and feels like have to be very carefull to not be banned because member X used a word Y and thats [insert the name of phobic].

But most of people there are daily screamers that either regurgitate the same argument, spam the same idiotic responses(like sweet summer child) or enters a thread specifically to start a fight, using a post against an another member.

In other words, whats happening is that members of their own clown circle are being banned nowadays. Those in specific won't be changing their behaviour so soon.

Mods being so ace recently with this, gives me confidence. I think if we take no BS on the user side as well, we can either reform them, or trigger them all the way back to Tumblr, either of which working for me.

Might I suggest Lake Mungo (2008) and Pulse/Kairo (2001)? Both movies that have an overwhelming amount of sense of dread and are almost devoid of violence.
