Might I suggest Lake Mungo (2008) and Pulse/Kairo (2001)? Both movies that have an overwhelming amount of sense of dread and are almost devoid of violence.

It's about wanting different things. Softcore porn is weak garbage because it's just not giving you the thing you actually want, it skirts around it. I don't necessarily want to watch a lot of violence, but am interested in something that can effectively creep me out, linger in my mind. I mean we all enjoy some degree of it I'm sure, I do like the Final Destination movies and that's their whole thing basically, creative and over the top deaths. I've just never understood people that are like way into the violence aspect though. I got my eye on you.

I cancelled my preorder after work tonight, might as well wait for a PS5 version since I was just planning on shelving the PS4 version until the patch. Now I'm uncertain if they will release a physical PS5 version, some comments in the OT were making me think it's likely but I dunno. Either way I'll pick the game up when it makes more sense. I just watched a review in the OT and it brought my hype way down tbh, it doesn't really look all that mindblowing to me, especially knowing the driving is supposed to suck. I still want to playthrough for the stories which sound cool, but I don't feel I need to jump in right away.

I just look at it as prepaying for something I'm already going to buy anyway, I often preorder a couple games when I get some extra cash. I like getting preorder bonuses sometimes too like the mini Doom Eternal lunchbox tin and the Spider-Man coaster I got from EB.
