I dated a Chinese woman who didn't speak any English except for Money, Shopping, Happy Birthday and a butchered pronunciation of my name. I didn't bother trying to teach her English as I was the only English person she knew but she did improve my shitty Chinese a lot. Tits 6/10.
Tits 6/10? Never should have taught her. 7 is minimum for learning.

There’s something really weird about playing a Halo reboot while watching a Matrix reboot while doing Christmas shit, but 20 years after high school with a family of my own.

I wanted to treat myself to some candy around the holidays. I like to order boxes of candy every winter, so it doesn't melt. I was interested in marshmallow. Last year I got Mallo Cups, which I love, but I can't eat them anymore because they have tiny bits of coconut shavings in them and I don't digest them, they come out in my poo(TMI). So this year I was gonna go Valomilk, as it's basically the same thing minus the coconut shavings. A box of Mallo Cups was $29. A box of Valomilk is $63. What the fucking hell, man? Why are Valomilk's so damn expensive???

Probably supply and demand, supply chain issues causing delays in getting ingredients to manufacture, possible labor shortages out there in the midwest, etc. But I feel you. I only like fruit cake from one very specific little bakery / diner in my old city. They barely scraped by when the pandemic broke out. They usually sell their cakes for $25 every December. This year, because of the cost of ingredients and demand, they're asking $75 per cake.

Fat Germans + Sex.

One time I was staying in this hotel in China. Late at night I hear a lot of noise outside my room, as it had woken me up I took a look through the spyhole in the door. I see this big fat German guy with three tiny Chinese hookers. I'm not sure if they were actually with him or just stuck in orbit of his massive fat guy gravitational field.

That reminds me of all the German bukkake porn I watch

Global warming honestly depresses me. Not in the “omg the world is gonna end sense” but as a big fan of winter and cold weather and snow, the last few winters here have been mild as hell with hardly any snow. It depresses the hell out of me, I miss it. Don’t think we’ve had one day even hit the 30s yet for the highs and it’s late December.

It might be my age, but I can’t remember the last time England had snow at all. I remember we had the beast from the east a few years back, and there was The Great Snow of 2010/11, but there had to be other times I’m sure. I miss it, too, nothing beats getting home late at night when it’s dark and cold and snowy out, and you curl up with a bowl of hot, slow-cooked stew. Heaven.

Fick mine

Fick mine

Sometimes 10th generation copy VHS porn was all you could find.

...is that like the 10th copy of the VHS, or like 10 generations of the family taking up the same occupation in life?

I feel your pain mate, Christmas 20+C, sunshine and wearing a T-shirt just does not feel the same. Even with the tree, lights, decorations and Turkey.

Now we know why so many people voted FOR Brexit.
Christmas Eve is dealing with last minute shopping and shithead relatives. Christmas Day is about opening presents and getting fat. Boxing Day is about dealing with more shithead relatives and getting fatter. New Years is all about regretting getting fat. January 2nd is about giving up on that regret.

Christmas Eve, Watch Die Hard
Christmas Day, get fat and drunk.
Boxing Day, hangover

Relatives? get the fuck on a plane if you want to give me shit.

Step one completed. I'm going to bed now.

Aw yeah time to go fight people for last minute ingredients we didn’t get. And get gas at Costco before the line gets insane

So glad to be home. I slept for 11 hours yesterday. Makes sense as I only had 2 hours (maybe) on the plane ride from HI to Denver.

Did all my budgeting from the trip and it worked out to be ~$840/day over 12 days, including actual travel days. That makes it our most expensive (and longest) vacation. I learned that we get exhausted after 8 days. So good news for future trips & planning. Might be a bit different if & when we go to Japan or New Zealand, though I would probably have 8 solid days there and then do the travel days on top of that.

I was taken aback by the adverts returning to my GAF visits since my Gold sub expired. Once you get used to gold, it's hard to go back.

Anyway, thanks for being cool Meta Gaf. I intended to be offline for the duration of the trip. I was largely successful until around day 8, where I just wanted to be home & back into my routine. You all helped keep me grounded during those days.
