Well I remember there were darts that made soldiers happy, sad, laugh etc, so I thought it meant there were different magazines that produced different emotions, and the porn ones (playboy actually, not really porn) make them happy.

Yeah, enemies don't respawn in the first militia battle. And it takes between 1-10 rations at the start to get even one iPod song. :/ Considering you may have 10 at most at that point... :/
Going into the safe-house and coming back has the militia battling the PMC's where you get the Mk. 2 and I don't get any praise from them there since there's no respawning enemies.
Note: This is Liquid Easy (or whatever the lowest difficulty setting is) I dunno if Solid Normal/Solidus Hard and up has respawning enemies after the patch.

. It's called an emotion magazine. Depending on the page that you leave open the enemies will respond with that remotion upon reading it. For example if you leave open the Laughing Beast page the enemy will start laughing. I don't think you can acquire one by now so you have to purchase one from Drebin if you don't have one. Note that it has to be bought in Act 2.whalleywhat

9GB in 7 minutes is glorious indeed, cant remember wich game it was, probably DMC4, was 5gigs and took 20 minutes lol.

I think you still get it as they try to provide you with all the options to take people down. It may not be given to you, but if not there is one you can pick up. I remember my harder runs and I still had the tranq option. I think there is a tranq sniper somewhere; I don't know how I would have beaten Wolf without it. I think the stun knife is a good option too.

Going for the chicken emblem straight away, so I ran around and killed 288 guys in Act 1. Sadly, it'll probably take me a few days to get through Act 2, as I'll have to go after a lot of the emblem requirements before I get too far (or in other words, Act 3).

You still get the tranq gun but the amount of ammo you can hold goes way down with each setting. Big Boss Extreme doesn't even let you buy tranq (or emotion) darts, so you really have to conserve your ammo.
Or hoard it and start NG+ with a bunch of it.

Wow, you just reminded me about the Sixaxis-functions in the game :3 I loved them!I got caught hiding in the trash can because my dualshock was not in a straight position so I was peeking out

You can also "reset" the camo on your suit at any time by shaking the Sixaxis. I love to do it on cutscenes lol
But does it work? You could do that pre-patch as well, but you needed to wear the Corpse camo for AI soldiers to actually consider you dead. Without the Corpse camo they would check you and realize you are not actually dead.

Went to gamestop to finish paying for Persona 4, and three dudes in front of me were getting used copies of MGS4, lol. Amazing what trophies/achievements will do to a fiend...Can't wait for tonight

Installed and ready to go! I am glad that my memory of the game's story is still fresh in my mind. Aside from a few of the more amazing cutscenes (Raiden VS Vamp...end of CH3 OMFG!) I will be skipping a lot. I think I want to just concentrate on the more technical aspects of MGS4. Trying to use every weapon and see what kind of crazy shit I can do. There are gadgets and weapons that I have never even used in the game. Hopefully the trophies push me to do some things I haven't done before.
Id pay money for something like this.
